We have been hearing quite a lot about the Meizu MX Android smartphone recently, there is a quad core version reported to be coming later this year, and the dual core version has now gone on sale in China and Hong Kong.

As a reminder, the Meizu MX comes with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, although it is expected to receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update within the next few months.

The device is powered by a dual core Samsung Exynos 4210 1.4GHz processor and it also features a 4 inch ASV touchscreen display with a 860 x 640 pixel resolution.

Other specifications on the Meizu MX include an 8 megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage, there are no details on when the device may be available in the US or Europe.
