As well as unveiling their new Acer Aspire R7 Windows 8 Notebook/Desktop Hybrid, Acer have also taken the wraps off its new Acer Aspire P3 convertible ultra book.

The Acer Aspire P3 base model will ship for around $799 and will be equipped with an Intel Core i3 process with i5 upgrades available, supported by 4GB of RAM and offering a 60GB solid state disk (SSD) for storage.

The Aspire P3 is fitted with a 11.6 inch screen off full HD resolution and a full-sized USB, mini-HDMI and headphone jack, and comes supplied with a Bluetooth keyboard case.

"The internals provided plenty of power to keep the P3 humming along at a brisk pace during our brief time with it, but we make no guarantees once you start loading up tons of poorly coded apps. The slate feels surprisingly solid in the hands, with no obvious give anywhere on the silvery chasis. Even near the exhaust vents theres no flex.”
