Apple To Launch Sub $1,000 iMac?

Prices for Appleā€™s entry level model iMac start at $1,199, for this you get a 21.5 inch display and a quad core Intel i5 processor plus 4GB of RAM, now according to a recent report Apple will be launching a sub $1,000 iMac aimed at the education market.

The new lower priced iMac is reported to come with the same 21.5 inch display as the existing model and will probably come with a dual core processor and 2GB of RAM plus a 250GB hard drive plus AMD Radeon HD 6570M graphics with 256MB of RAM.

The sub $1,000 iMac would also appeal to consumers as well as the education market, although education customers would pay less that the $1,000 price tag as they get a discount of the retail price, according to 9 to 5 Mac the new cheaper iMac will go on sale later this month.
