Owners of existing Windows Phone devices, which run Windows Phone 7.5 are patiently waiting for the release of the Windows Phone 7.8 update, and now it looks like we are getting closer to its release.

Microsoft has released the Windows Phone 7.8 Software Development Kit (SDK) for developers, and it is now available to download, as yet we still do not have an official release date for the software update for existing handsets.

There have been rumors that Microsoft will start rolling out the Windows Phone 7.8 software update to existing handsets on the 31st of January, this date has yet to be confirmed by Microsoft, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.
