Asus announced recently that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the original Transformer tablet,the Transformer TF101 would be available some time after the 12th of January. We
knew that Asus were working on the update for the Transformer TF101,
but it would appear that Asus has now finished the update, and are
waiting for it to be approved by Google.
When
asked on Facebook when the update would be available for the original
Transformer, Asus responded saying that they are waiting for approval
from Google, you can see their statement below. soon. Its in the process of being approved by google. once that is done we will be able to push it out to you guys. There
are no details on how long it will take Google to approve the Android
4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Transformer TF101, we had
previously heard that the update would roll out at the beginning of
February. If Google approves the update quickly, then Asus would
be able to roll it out before the start of February, so it could
possibly land this month. As soon as we get some information on
when Asus intend to roll out the Android ICS update for the Transformer
