Hydromechanical HYT T1 Watch Combines Mechanical And Liquid Engineering For The First Time (video)

A new concept watch has been built which is the first ever to combine both mechanical and liquid engineering. The new concept watch has been created by master watch maker Vincent Perriard & Co and is called the HYT H1 and comes with the hefty price tag of $45,000, with a titanium case.

The unique mechanics of the Vincent Perriard & Co’s HYT H1 uses liquid-driven pistons as well as gears to tell the time. The Pistons in the movement move the bellows, which then push green fluorescein liquid around the dial to indicate the time. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.

Vincent Perriard & Co details the watches specifics:

"Movement: Mechanical hand-wound, exclusive HYT calibre, 28,800 vph, 4 Hz, 35 jewels, bridges hand-chamfered and adorned with Côtes de Genève, rhodiumed bellows, 65-hour power reserve.

Dial: Unstructured, silver-toned opaline, fluid hours, luminescent hands and hour-markers regulator at 12:00, small seconds wheel at 09:30, power-reserve indicator at 02:30″

The new Vincent Perriard & Co’s HYT H1 will debut and be showcased at the Baselworld 2012 show.
