Last week Facebooks new Windows Messenger application was leaked to the world, ahead of its scheduled launch. But rather than hunting down the perpetrators, Facebook has now decided to officially launch the Windows-based Facebook Messenger client.

As expected the new Facebook Messenger client allows you to communicate with Facebook friends directly from Windows Messenger, without the need to open up its web page in a browser.

The new Windows Messenger client fully supports the Facebook chat system, and includes a live ticker keeping you updated on whats happening, as well as providing you with notifications and new friend requests.
