If you're getting excited about the next wave of tablets to be
launching within the year 2012, this should get your blood flowing as
well. The Apple iPad 3 is said to be launching somewhere between
mid-March to mid-April citing reports from Digitimes. The reports
come by way of anonymous sources within the supply chain from Apple's
component and parts manufacturers. Those who are responsible for keeping
up to Apple's iPad orders say that the iPad 2 orders slow down coming
Spring 2012, typical when the successor tablet will be launched.
These reports have all basically suggested the next generation iPad would launch in the Spring of 2012,
which happens to be the same time of year the iPad 2 was announced in
2011. Apple usually sticks to their yearly launch time frames for major
upgrades and new product announcements. The "iPad 3,2″ and "iPad 3,3″
were also found in the latest iOS 5.1 source code,
lending to the fact that the iPad 3 will have an unheard of 2048 x 1536
screen resolution, doubling the current resolution of the iPad 2.
It all comes down to Spring 2012 for all of us eagerly awaiting the
next iPad 3. Also, the next Samsung Galaxy Tab is said to launch the
same time, perhaps even earlier than the iPad 3. Not to mention the current launch of the ASUS Transformer Prime, and the next generation of Acer Iconia tablets sporting the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processors. Yes, 2012 will be very interesting in the mobile computing markets indeed.
