Earlier today we saw a video of Apple’s Siri used to control an App on the iPad, and now we have another video, this time Siri is used to start a car engine, and the developer has created a plugin for the Siri Proxi, that was developed by @plamoni.
The "Siri Proxy” plugin I wrote handles interaction with a php
script that runs on my web server. The php script, which I developed
months ago for personal use, allows me to send commands to my car which
has a Viper SmartStart module installed.
You can find out more details on how this was done over at Fiquett, and as well as starting the car other commands can be used to lock the car and more.
