Iomega has added a new portable storage solution to its range in the form of the Iomega eGo Mac Edition, design specifically for Apple Mac users. The new Mac version has as rugged design and is equipped with 2 x FireWire 800 ports and 1 x USB 2.0, but unfortunately no Thunderbolt connection.

Its sleek rugged design and included Iomega Drop Guard case has been created to provide a safety net if you should drop your drive giving you added protection from drops up to 7 ft.

The Iomega eGo Mac Edition will also keep your files secure with built-in 256-bit hardware encryption and it requires no external power supply. The Iomega eGo Mac Edition comes supplied with Iomega Protection Suite, Mac Edition software via easy download and a 3 year warranty and is available to purchase in 500GB for $179.99 and 1TB  for $229.99.
