Logitech has this week launched a new style of mouse which follows in
the same vein of Apple’s Magic mouse, in that it has no buttons just a
smooth surface to use to click and swipe your way around. The Logitech
Touch Mouse M600 has been designed to enable you to scroll, swipe and
click wherever your fingertips may be resting on the mouse surface.
The new Logitech Touch Mouse M600 comes supplied with Logitech Flow
Scroll software that enables you to have fluid scrolling whilst
browsing, by simply sliding your finger along the touch surface. Todd
Walker, brand manager for Logitech explains:
"People are growing accustomed to using fingertip gestures to
navigate on their smartphones and tablets,” – "In fact, for many people
these gestures have become second nature. The Logitech Touch Mouse M600
reflects this evolution in how we interact with the digital world and
extends to the computer what have become natural, intuitive motions.”
The Logitech M600 mouse can be used by either right-handed or
left-handed users and buttons can be reassigned using Logitech’s
SetPoint software. It also comes supplied with a tiny Logitech Unifying
receiver, which can connect up to six compatible mice and keyboards
through one USB port.
The Logitech Touch Mouse M600 will be arriving in the U.S. and Europe in the next couple of weeks and will be priced around $70.
