Synology has this week introduced a new NAS
solution to their range in the form of the new Synology DS411. Capable
of holding four drives the new Synology DS411 has been designed for
small businesses and home users in need of a fast high capacity storage,
backup and media streaming solution.
Synology DS411 is capable of accepting four drives up to a total of
12 TB in storage (3TB each) and will provide an average 105.3 MB/sec
reading speed under RAID 5 configuration in a Windows environment,
together with a 47.8 MB/sec writing speed.
As a backup solution the Synology DS411 provides you with access to a
web-based backup wizard for backing up data to another Synology
DiskStationor any rsync server via an encrypted protocol, or to an external hard drive via USB connection.
On the back of the NAS Synology DS411 there is a single gigabit
ethernet port, along with 2 x USB 2.0 ports and 1 x eSATA for additional
external drives or sharing a printer across your local network.
