Western Digital have today announced the arrival two newly updated
Passport Drives which includes a revamped Studio and Mac version. Even
though the Western Digital Mac Passport Drives come re-formatted for Mac
machines they can easily be re-formatted to work on Windows systems if
required.
The more advanced Mac Passport Drive offers connectivity via 2 x
FireWire 800 ports and a USB 2.0 port, but unfortunately no Thunderbolt
port is included and the more basic Studio version is only equipped with
a USB 2.0 connection.
The more Mac Passport Drive are two version available a 750GB and 1TB
priced at $160 and $180 respectively. The Studio Passport Drive is
available in 500GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities ranging in price from $100
to $130 respectively.
