We have already seen the first few smartphones with HD displays launch over the last week or so, and we can expect to see many more over the coming months, as Hitachi has announced their latest HD smartphone display.

The new Hitachi HD smartphone display measures 4.5 inches and it features a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and according to Hitachi it features a 329ppi.
