Some of the powerline networking adapters on the market today are very large and hard to fit into a crowded outlet. Trendnet has announced a new adapter that is more compact than the average adapter allowing it to fit more easily into a crowded outlet. The adapter is called the 200Mbps Compact Powerline AV Adapter, model TPL-306E.

Despite the small size, the TPL-306E adapter has the features most are looking for. It handles speeds up to 200Mbps. It also has three LEDs on the front to show you when it has power and is connected. Setting up a network using the TPL-306E is easy as well. The adapters will automatically locate and connect with each other.

The adapter has green tech inside as well to cut the power it use on standby by 70%. You will need at least two of these adapters to set up a network. A single adapter is $54.99 and a pair in a kit is $99.99. The single adapter and dual adapter kit will both ship in December.
