NEC has launched a new Windows 7 tablet this week with the unveiling of their new LaVie Touch tablet
complete with docking station and keyboard. The new LaVie Touch is
powered by a 1.5 GHz Atom Z670 processor, supported by 2GB of RAM and
fitted with 64GB of internal storage thanks to an integrated solid state
drive.
Its equipped with a 10.1-inch IPS touchscreen
with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and has a battery capable of providing
over 10 hours of use on a full charge. The provided docking station also
enables you to use a DVD player and Bluetooth keyboard with the LaVie
Touch.
The LaVie Touch runs Windows 7 Home Premium and is also fitted with a
handy SDHC card slot, supports 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1
connectivity and is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 2
x USB 2.0 ports and a HDMI output for connection to your big screen
HDTV or projector.
The new The LaVie Touch measures around 263 x 183 x 15.8 mm, it
weights in at 729g, it will be arriving in Japan on October 6th.
No details have yet been released by NEC on worldwide availability or
prices.
