It took a particularly dreadful accident to create the Voztec. See,
John Vozzo was left incapacitated after a nasty skydiving incident. With
both legs broken, he had little else to do but contemplate the deeper
questions of life and a new helmet. Helmet? Yes, particularly what
became the Voztec, which is a whole line of specially made helmets for
outdoor enthusiasts. With the help of business partner Mark Bryant, the
pair have been prototyping several different models of the Voztec, which
opens up like a clam.

Rumours have started circulating reporting that Nintendo might be
developing a revamped version of its portable 3DS console with a little
less emphasis on the 3D and more on the control side by either adding
or/and releasing a new analog control stick adapter

Or should it be suborbital? It’s basically a large helium balloon
that goes up, up, up until the passengers feel they can touch the
stars. The people who got the idea of the ground is a Barcelona based
company called zero2infinity and they are now accepting reservations for
a 2013-2015 schedule. The whole idea of this project called ‘bloon’ is
to make pseudo-space flight a little more exciting adventure without the
attendant hardware, i.e. Virgin Galactic.

In a nutshell, the very same agency that builds all sorts of high
tech weapons wants to outsource innovation to a startup. How will that
work? See, DARPA and NASA have this 100 Year Starship initiative whose
ultimate goal is to begin the process of interstellar travel. Note: ‘to
begin the process.’ As far as we know, DARPA doesn’t have any idea where
in the galaxy a starship should begin looking for a habitable world.
Also, they think forking the problem to a willing band of adventurers is
a good idea. Well, so do we.

In this day an age its great to see unwanted and older items reused and modified to create useful gadgets and bring them back into use. Just like these recycled bike fork bottle openers that have been created by Etsy maker EH48.

Call it EES for short. Since the near future is shaping up to be a
mix of Blade Runner, the Matrix, Terminator, and Brave New World, it
comes as no surprise that engineer-scientists are hard at work melding
electronic parts unto human flesh. Seen below is a viable prototype of
the EES, which could pave the way for biologically integrated gadgets.

If you are a fan of the streaming movie rental site Zediva you may be bummed to hear this. The site has been forced to close its doors, at least for now. Some of the Hollywood studios took the Zediva service to court over the method of streaming movies the site used.
