YouTube has rolled out a new experimental layout for its mobile users which is now available to view as manual opt-in. Once enabled, the new YouTube layout design provides a darker colour palette that show video against dark backgrounds together with white navigation icons on a dark background.

CVPCS, has this week announced that they have been able to compile a working pre-Alpha version of VLC media player for Android devices. Twitter has announced two new developer events, which will focus on the integration of Twitter into the latest version of Appleā€™s mobile OS, iOS 5, the first event will be held in London on the 10th of October and the second in New York on the 12th of October.
