Fujitsu has unveiled a new notebook computer today including the Lifebook U904 Ultrabook
that you see here. The machine is 15.5 mm thick and weighs 1.39 kg. The
notebook is aimed directly at the mobile business professional that
means a notebook with decent power and portability. The notebook
features a 14-inch frameless WQHD+ IGZO display and supports touch
interaction.
The keyboard is backlit for working in dark environments and the
machine has a number of security features. Buyers can also choose for
optional embedded 4G LTE capability to stay connected on the go. The
notebook runs Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 Pro. Several processor options
are available ranging from a Core i5 up to a Core i7-4600U processor.

If you are looking to develop a project which requires a GPS receiver
that is both low-cost and very accurate you might be interested in a
new device which is launched on the crowdfunding Kickstarter website
this week called the Piksi.
The Piksi GPS receiver has been created to provide users with
centimetre level precision together with open source software and board

Within the next week Samsung’s Galaxy S4 is projected to reach 10
million in sales within the next week – making it Samsung’s
fastest-selling device ever. It’s previous fastest-selling device was
the Galaxy S3, which sold 10 million within 54 days. If the S4’s progress continues, it’ll almost cut the Galaxy S3’s time in half!
The Galaxy S4 went on sale on April 26th and has since
been flying off the shelves. It’s so popular that Google has decided to
ally with Samsung to create a Google Edition of the S4 that will allow
users to make use of the Android Jelly Bean instead of TouchWiz. It’ll
pretty much turn the device into an unofficial Nexus.

When I first heard about Google Glass, I
thought it was a great technological advancement. However, being one of
the millions who wear glasses and American to boot, I found myself instantly wanting more.
While the idea was neat, the thought of wearing Glass
in addition to my glasses was rather off-putting. If only Glass could
be integrated with my prescription, or at least offer a

Did you know there have been four different Mars rovers
to touchdown and drive along the surface of Mars since 1997? All four
belong to NASA and include – in order of oldest to newest – the
Sojourner, Spirit, Opportunity and Curiosity.
Curiosity has been getting the brunt of the attention after finding
strong signs that life may have once existed on Mars, but Opportunity
recently hit a monumental point by breaking the record for the longest
NASA drive off Earth.

This week Notion Ink has unveiled a new addition to their range of tablets with the launch of the Notion Ink Adam II dual screen tablet.
The Notion Ink Adam II primary display is a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800
pixel IPS screen, which is combined with a Secondary STN or black and
white LCD display for notifications purposes.
The Notion Ink Adam II is powered by a 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A9
dual-core processor, supported by 1GB of RAM and comes supplied running
Google’s latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Apple’s iTunes is available for the desktop version of Windows 8, but Microsoft wants Apple to create a Metro version of the app for Windows 8, and Microsoft have being trying to convince Apple to make one.
Apple is apparently reluctant to make a Windows 8 iTine App, and it
looks like we may have to wait some time to see one as Microsoft has yet
to talk Apple into making the app. 6
According to Microsoft, iTunes is one of the most searched for apps
on the Windows 8 store, and whilst Microsoft has been able to secure big
name apps like Twitter and Netflix for Windows 8 they have yet to
convince Apple to release an iTunes app for the platform.
