Sony has announced that a new version of their Sony Google TV is being launched as the NSZ-G8, and builds on the technology used in their already available Sony NSZ-G7 set-top box which launched last year.
The new updated NSZ-G8 Sony Google TV set-top box has received a number of new updates and tweaks, one of which has now added Wi-Fi certification to the device.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has
been released as yet for the Sony NSZ-G8, but as soon as information
comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
However with Google I/O 2013 less than a month away more details

google are holding their annual Google I/O developer conference next month, and we are expecting them to unveil the next major version of their mobile OS, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
According to a recent report, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie has been
delayed, and we may not see the new OS launch at Google’s developer
conference next month, it has apparently been delayed between 2 and 4
months.
Of course this is just a rumor at the moment, hopefully we should
have some more information closer to the Google I/O conference, which
takes place in May.

After Google unveiled the hardware specifications for their new
Google Glasses eyewear yesterday, revealing that it will be equipped
with a 5 megapixel camera and 16GB of on board storage.
New video have been published today revealing the new Google Glasses
being unboxed and put through their paces by Google Glasses Explorers.
Google is shipping their Google Glasses with a microUSB cable and
charger, a pouch and an attachable shade and clear lens, and stays that

After being leaked a little earlier than expected, HP has now officially launched their new HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook, which is now available to purchase for $330.
The new HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook is equipped with a 1,366 x 768 resolution display, and is equipped with 16GB of internal storage, but also comes with 100GB of Google Drive space, which is free to owners for the first 2 years.
The latest addition to the Chrome range of hardware in the form of the HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook, is powered by a Dual-core Intel Celeron Processor, and comes equipped with 3 x USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port and 2-in-1 memory card slot (SD, MMC).

Lenovo doesn’t seem to be the old company looking to launch a new
Chrome device it seems, as information has been discovered pointing to a
new Chromebox currently being developed by Acer called the Kiev.
Developer François Beaufort discovered details about Acer’s
unannounced Chrome OS desktop code-named "Kiev.” and released the
details.
Which includes a new Chromebox system
equipped with a 2.7 GHz Intel Pentium G630 dual core processor,
supported by 2GB of RAM and fitted with a 500GB hard drive. But this is
obviously not been confirmed by Acer and could just be the test rig they
have created.

LG has announced that it will be showcasing its new line of Tab-Book
Windows 8 slider devices at CES 2013 next week running from Jan
8th-11th.
The new LG Tab-Book H160 takes the form of a tablet equipped with a
sliding QWERTY keyboard, and is already available to purchase in South
Korea for around $1395.
The LG Tab-Book H160, is equipped with a 11.6 inch display and runs
Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system, powered by an Intel Atom Z2760 Clover Trail processor, supported by 2GB of RAM, and a 64GB solid state disk (SSD).

I’m not sure if this qualifies as a holiday gift or not, but Google’s
VoIP service in Gmail will remain free of charge for calls within the
United States and Canada in 2013.
Either way, it’s nice to be able to call someone free of charge. A note
on the Gmail Blog announced the news. This will be the third year of
free Google Voice service for US and Canadian customers, through the standard Gmail interface.
Free is always good right? Of course. You can’t beat free. Heck, some people would pay a dollar for this. Thanks Google. Wasn’t even on our list this year.

.Google has announced that they will stop supporting Google Sync in
Gmail from the 30th of January 2013, Google Sync is used to access
Google Mail, Calendar and contacts via Microsoft’s Exchange ActiveSync
protocol.
What Google are basically doing is withdrawing support for Microsoft
Exchange, and from the 30th of January you will not be able to setup a
new account with Google Sync. Google Sync was designed to allow access to Google Mail, Calendar
and Contacts via the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync® protocol. With the
recent launch of CardDAV, Google now offers similar access via IMAP,
CalDAV and CardDAV, making it possible to build a seamless sync
experience using open protocols. Starting January 30, 2013, consumers

We have been hearing rumors for a while that Google would launch an even cheaper version of their Google Nexus 7 tablet
which is rumored to retail for just $99, although these rumors died off
when the new updated Nexus 7 tablets were introduced recently.
Now it would appear that Google may have a $99 Nexus 7 tablet in the
works, as a new, yet to be announced Nexus 7 tablet has appeared in the GLbench benchmarks, and the device features Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
This new Nexus tablet features
the model name of ASUS ME172V, and the specifications are different
than the current entry level Google Nexus 7 tablet, which include a 1GHz
processor and 400MHz Mali GPU, the device also features a screen
resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
