LG D1L To Have Built-in Wireless Charging
The Samsung Galaxy S III will be officially unveiled on May 3 and so
LG is also preparing a new Android smartphone that will compete directly
with it. LG’s latest handset is codenamed D1L and it will feature a 4.7
inch HD display, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, LTE connectivity,
and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
According to Korean website DDaily it has another very interesting
feature. Built-in wireless charging (Rumor is that it is also included
in the Galaxy S III). This isn’t the first LG phone to sport wireless
charging. Verizon’s LG Revolution can also be charged wirelessly, but
you need to buy an special backplate.
In this case, the LG D1L supports wireless charging by default. The
LG D1L should be released in South Korea at the end of May. No word yet
on global availability.
