Google
recently launched their Google Glass for developers, and now Google’s
Eric Schmidt has announced that the consumer version of Google Glass is
expected to launch in 2014.
In a recent interview with the BBC, Schmidt hinted that we can expect
to see the consumer version of Google Glass launch next year, you can
see what he had to say below.
"Well, the developers are beginning now. It would be fair to say
that there will be thousands of these in use by developers over the next
months and based on their feedback we’ll make some product changes and
it’s probably a year-ish away,

Leap Motion has announced that their new motion control system has
now been integrated within Google Earth 7.1, and now allows users to
navigate the world with Leap Motion’s 3D controller.
This week Google has launched their new Google Earth Pro 7.1 which
allows you to view any location in the world or even locations outside
our world, like galaxies in outer space. Watch the video after the jump

Google has announced that their Google Street View is now available
in 50 different countries around the world, the 50th country to get the
mapping service is Hungary, and Google are also expanding their coverage
in Poland and Romania.
Google originally launched Street View back in 2007, back then the
service was available in a total of five cities in the US, so things
have expanded quite a bit over the last six years.
Today, we’ve reached 50 countries with the launch of Street View
in Hungary and Lesotho and are significantly expanding our coverage in
Poland and Romania, among other locations around the world. This is also
the largest single update of Street View imagery we’ve ever pushed,
including new and updated imagery for nearly 350,000 miles of roads
across 14 countries.

A new concept bike currently under development called the
SandwichBike, provides cyclists with a unique way to build and customise
their ride.
The SandwichBike has been created by Basten Leijh who had to rethink
every aspect of the classic velocipede, to create a kit that can be
shipped world wide and constructed with ease. Watch the video after the

The SandwichBike is constructed as a ‘sandwich’ of two weather coated
frames of layered plywood, which are bonded together by ‘smart

Back in 2011 Twitter purchased the popular mobile application TweetDeck, the company announced recently that they would close the app in May, which means that the application will no longer function on iOS or Android.
Twitter has now announced that TweeDeck will close on the 7th of May,
which means from the 7th of May onwards you will no longer be able to
use the application on Google’s Android platform and Apple’s iOS
platform.
TweetDeck AIR, TweetDeck for Android and TweetDeck for iPhone
will be removed from their respective app stores and will stop
functioning on May 7. Our Facebook integration will also stop on May 7.

A recent survey conducted by ChangeWave Research was published on Friday they look at the likelihood of consumers across America to purchase an Apple
iWatch. According to the survey, 19% of consumers are very likely or
somewhat likely to purchase an Apple smart watch. The survey found that
5% of those polled are very likely to purchase the iWatch.
Another 14% were somewhat likely to make the purchase. Apple hasn’t
officially confirmed that it is working on an iWatch, but rumors and
reports continue to circulate that the device is coming. Apple has a
long and successful track record of launching new product categories
that going to revolutionize industry.

Asus has announced that it will be launching a new Republic of Gamers (ROG) branded PCIe solid state disk (SSD) next month, in the form of the RAIDR Express.
Spscific details on the new Asus RAIDR Express are still a little scarce at the moment, but the new solid state disk (SSD) was first unveiled back in CES earlier this year.
However what we do know is that the new Republic of Gamers PCIe solid state disk (SSD) will provide 830MB/s read and 810MB/s writes, and will feature Toshiba MLC NAND.
