Apple launched their new iPad Mini earlier today, and the guys over at Android Authority, thought it would be a good idea to test out how the new iPad mini does in some drop tests.
It isn’t exactly scientific, but both the iPad Mini and Google’s Nexus 7 were both dropped from the same height, have a look at the video below to see what happened.
As
you can see from the video, both tablets sustain quite a bit of damage,
although it appears that the iPad Mini still seems to be working, so if
you are accident prone you may want to look at the iPad Mini over the
Nexus 7.
Google has released a new Google Search app for Apple’s iOS platform, the app will work on Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and it comes with built in voice search, which you can see in the video below.
Fast and accurate voice recognition technology
enables Google to understand exactly what you’re saying. Getting an
answer is as simple as tapping on the microphone icon and asking a
question like, "Is United Airlines flight 318 on time?” Your words
appear as you speak, you get your answer immediately and—if it’s short
and quick, like the status and departure time of your flight—Google
tells you the answer aloud.
So
it looks like Apple’s Siri may have a competitor on the iPhone with
Google’s new Voice Search app, the app is available to download for free
