Google
recently sent out invites to a press event which will take place on the
29th of October, and now according to a number of report Google is
rumored to be announcing the next version of Android, Key Lime Pie.
As
well as the next version of Android we are also expecting to see
Google’s next Nexus smartphone, there could be just one device unveiled,
which may be the LG Nexus 4 or we could see multiple Nexus devices from
various manufacturers. There
have been rumors that up to 5 new Nexus device will be announced from
different manufacturers, we have already heard of rumors of the LG Nexus
4, the HTC Nexus 5 and a Nexus device from Samsung. As soon as we get some more information on what Google will be announcing at their media event on the 29th of October we will let you guys know.

Google and Samsung
have announced a new Chromebook laptop and it comes with some
impressive specifications for the price, the new Google Chromebook will
retail for $249.
The $249 Google Chromebook features an 11.6 inch display with a
resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, the device is just 0.8 inches thick and
weighs in a 1.1kgs, processing is provided by a Samsung Exynos 5 dual core processor and it also comes with 16GB of built in storage.
The new Google Chromebook also comes with 100GB of Google Drive
online storage, 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, a VGA web camera, one USB 3.0 port
and one USB 2.0 port, there is also a HDMI port and Bluetooth 3.0.
The Google Chromebook is now available to pre-order and it will go on
sale next week in the US and the UK, you can find out more information

We have been hearing rumors that Google’s next Nexus smartphone will either be from LG or Samsung, and then yesterday we heard that Google may be releasing multiple Nexus devices from different manufacturers. LG’s
Nexus handset is rumored to be called the LG Nexus 4, and now according
to a recent report HTC will also be releasing a Nexus device, which
will apparently be called the HTC Nexus 5.
The HTC Nexus 5 is rumored to come with a 5 inch display, and it could possibly share similar specifications to the new HTC Butterfly J which was announced yesterday. Google
are holding an Android event later this month, and we could see a range
of new Nexus devices announced at this event, as soon as we get some

If you have ever wondered what it’s like inside of one of Google’s
data centers, you might be interested to learn that Google has now
created a website revealing what is behind those closed data center
doors.
As you might expect Google is not that keen on letting people roam
around inside its data centers, even though it does allow guided tours
of its Californian Googleplex headquarters at certain times.
To help us understand a little more that goes into providing its
services, Google has created the site called "Where the Internet Lives”
featuring photos by Connie Zhou and a video tour of Google’s data center, revealing the technology behind the Internet. Google explains:

It looks like Sprint will be getting a number of new smartphones this
year that will be compatible with Google’s contact less payment system,
Google Wallet, a couple of those devices will be the LG Viper and the
Samsung Galaxy Nexus A total of ten new devices
which will work with Google Wallet will launch on US carrier Sprint
before the end of 2012, although we don’t have details on all of them we
do have some information on the LG Viper.

Viper features a 4 inch touchscreen display and comes with a dual core
1.2GHz processor and it will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.<

We haven’t heard much about Google’s cloud service, Cloud Drive for a while now, there were a few rumors at the end of last year that Google were getting ready to launch their new cloud service. According to a recent report from the WSJ,
Google Drive is close to launch and we could possibly see the service
launch within the next few months, although no specific details of a
launch date have been revealed.

It looks like Google Wallet’s PIN security has been cracked on rooted
devices, although if your Android device is not rooted then the
security on the Google Wallet Pin seems to be fine.
The PIN for Google Wallet is stored encrypted on your Android
devices, and a method has been discovered to reveal the SHA256 hex
encoded PIN information, which enables the PIN to be discovered, the
crack was discovered by the guys from Zvelo.
Google has been apparently been notified about the issue, and is
working on a fix, although this may involve some changes to the way

If you have a Sony Internet TV or have one of those Sony Blu-ray
players with Google TV functionality, you’ll be glad to know that
Google has confirmed upcoming Chrome improvements and Blu-ray 3D support
in its next update to Google TV.
No
less than the search giant confirmed the update, which unfortunately,
will not be applicable to the Logitech Revue. Google has been working on
improving its Google TV venture, promising to bring useful apps and
other popular features to living rooms. Google TV didn’t quite make it
to mainstream consumers in 2011 but the company is hoping to change all
that this year.

Last week Google announced that they would be changing their privacy policies over all their different services, with more than 60 different privacy policies being rolled into one policy. After
the announcement Google were contacted by members of the US congress
with regard to the new privacy policies, in which the company was asked
