Earlier in the week we heard that Sony would be rolling out the Android Jelly Bean update for a number of devices, and the Sony Xperia P Jelly Bean update is now available, another device to get the update is the Sony Xperia Go.
The Sony Xperia P Jelly Bean update comes in the form of Android
4.1.2, and it brings the firmware up to version 6.2.A.0.400, the update
is being released as an OTA update for both devices.
You can check to see if the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is available for your Sony Xperia P or Xperia Go via the settings menu on your handset.
BlackBerry has announced that the BlackBerry Q10
Canada release date will be the 1st of May, the handset will be
available with all the major carriers, which will include Rogers, Bell Mobility and Telus, and the handset will retail for $199 with a new three year contract.

The other day Nokia teased a new QWERTY smartphone, the handset is now official, the Nokia Asha 210, which comes with a full QWERTY keyboard an features a 2.4 inch LCD display with a QVGA resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.
The Nokia Asha 210 comes with a 2 megapixel rear camera, and 64MB of
built in storage, it also comes with a microSD Card slot that can take
up to 32GB cards, plus WiFi and USB.

button, which gives you instant access to the WhatsApp application.
We recently heard that Sony had finished the Sony Xperia P Jelly Bean update and that the update was getting closer to release, and now Sony has revealed that the update will be released this week.
As well as the Sony Xperia P, the Sony Xperia Go, and the Sony Xperia
E Dual will all get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, the update is
being rolled out in phases.
Sony has not revealed which countries will get the Android Jelly Bean
update, but they have said that all handsets will get the update by May
at the latest, as soon as we get some more information we will let you
guys know.
Sony has announced the Android Open Source Project (ASOP) for its latest high end Android smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z, which means that the software for the handset will be open to developers.
For the AOSP on Xperia™ Z project to run, we are also providing
some binaries here on Developer World. Binaries are for example hardware
drivers that are specific for a certain chipset. Since some of the
binaries are proprietary files provided by Qualcomm, you can download
Xperia Z binaries after accepting an end-user license agreement that
states how the files can be used and what limitations that exist.
Remember that the software is not intended for everyday use, and it does
not include some apps and services that are part of standard phone software.
We have been hearing rumors about the Verizon Pantech Perception over
the last few days, the handset is now official and it will launch om Verizon Wireless this Thursday, April the 25th.
Verizon will be offering the Pantech Perception for $99, after
rebates when you sign up to a new two year contract with the carrier,
and the device comes with Android 4.0 ICS.
The Pantech Perception features a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED
display, it also comes with 2GB of built in storage and front and rear
facing cameras, up front we have a two megapixel camera for video calls,
on the back we have an 8 megapixel camera for photos and video, the
device also comes with LTE.
Virgin Media has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be
available in their retail stores from this Saturday the 27th of April,
and the handset will be available on a range of the company’s plans.
The Virgin Media plans for the Samsung Galaxy S4 will start at £31
per month, and you will also have to make an up front payment for the
handset of £99.

Nike has today rolled out a new update to their Nike+ FuelBand iOS
application which brings with a number of new social features including
Nike+ Friends, that allows you to compare your Fuel point scores with
friends who are also equipped with a Nike+ FuelBand.
Other new features added to the Nike+ FuelBand iOS app now allow
users to can attach photos, locations and mentions of nearby friends to
compete with and keep you on track to your daily goal.
Nike+ Friends lets you access custom leaderboards using your iOS
device and allows you to compare your performance with friends who also
have a Nike+ FuelBand. Nike explains:

A photograph and some specifications have been leaked of a new
Windows 8 tablet from Acer, the Acer W3-810, which will come with an 8
inch display and will be powered by a 1.8GHz Intel Atom processor.
As you can see from the photo below, the Acer W3-810 will come with a keyboard dock, unfortunately we do not have any other information on the tablets specifications as yet.
As soon as we get some more information on the Acer W3-810 Windows 8
