RIKEN and Fujitsu have today announced that their Japanese supercomputer named "K Computer” which took the number one slot for being the worlds fastest computer back in June has now increased its lead even more by passing the 10 petaflop milestone.
The K Computer broke its own record by improving its processing speed to 10.51 petaflop with its 88,128 processors executing over 10.5 quadrillion calculations per second. Which it managed to run for 29 hours straight without failure.

AT&T has announced that it will launch three new BlackBerry smartphones this month, the first two being the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and the BlackBerry Torch 9860 which will be available from AT&T on the 6th of November.
AT&T will also offer the BlackBerry Curve 9360 on their network
in the US from the 20th of November, and this will be available for
$29.99 when you sign up to a new two year contract with AT&T.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 will be available for $199.99 when you sign
up to a new two year contract and the BlackBerry Torch 9860 will be
available for $99.99 when you sign up to a new two year contract.

343 Industries have unveiled a new Halo: Anniversary launch trailer
for the release of the their up-and-coming game. But be warned if you
have never played Halo and might be thinking of purchasing the new Halo:
Anniversary game, the following video pretty much destroys the entire
storyline and reveals everything you will learn throughout the game in just over 1.35 minutes.
New features within Halo: Combat
Evolved Anniversary game include : cooperative play over Xbox Live,
updated popular multiplayer maps for Xbox Live, new challenges and a new

Battlefield 3 has become EA’s fastest selling game ever after selling 5 million copies in its first week on release. The highly anticipated first person shooter
which we have been featuring here on Geeky Gadgets in the run-up to its
launch was released on October 25th and uses the new Frostbite 2 gaming
engine.
There have been a few teething issues with its launch however with a
number of players experiencing problems logging on to multiplayer games
and with multiple crashes during gameplay. However EA now say that
nearly all the issues have been corrected and they’re working hard to
correct the remaining few.
