Corsair has this week unveiled they have broken and set a new Memory Frequency World Record. Reaching an impressive 1733.8MHz (DDR3-3467), using Corsair Dominator GT CMGTX6 extreme-performance DDR3 memory.

Corsair used a specially constructed rig to obtain the new world record, which was equipped with a liquid nitrogen cooled computer system using a AMD FX-8150 processor and of course 1GB of Corsair Dominator GT extreme-performance DDR3 memory.



Corsair employee Jake "Planet” Crimmins explains:

"Breaking overclocking world records requires skill, ingenuity, and the right equipment,” – "I’ve broken several records using Dominator GT memory. It’s reliable, it has amazing headroom, and it’s never let me down.”

Last month the new Batman: Arkham City game launched in Europe on October 21st for Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers. But if you have been patiently waiting for the new Batman: Arkham City game to arrive on PC, your wait is over and the game is now available to purchase.

As well as the arrival of the PC version of the Batman: Arkham City game. The new Robin DLC is now also available, which lets you play as Boy Wonder, Batman’s faithful side kick. Watch the launch trailer for Batman: Arkham City and the new Robin DLC after the jump.

The Robin DLC is now available on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network for 560 Microsoft Points, or $6.99.

There have been reports over the last few days here in the UK that Microsoft’s Xbox Live has been hacked, the news came from the Sun newspaper, hardly the most reliable source, and now Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox Live has not been hacked.

Microsoft has said that the people who were affected were unfortunate enough to fall for a phising scam, and now Microsoft are looking into the matter.


Xbox LIVE has not been hacked. Microsoft can confirm that there has been no breach to the security of our Xbox LIVE service. In this case, a number of Xbox LIVE members appear to have recently been victim of malicious ‘phishing’ scams (ie. online attempts to acquire personal information such as passwords, user names and credit card details by purporting to be a legitimate company or person). Today Sony unveiled a list of the new games you can expect to see, once the new PS Vita gaming console is launched in February 2012. Together with video showing a brief look at the augmented reality features of the new PS Vita device.


But if you are more into first person shooters, you might be more interested in the new Unit 13 game which will be arriving with the PS Vita. The trailer after the jump provides you with a good glimpse of what you can expect.

Unit 13 for PS Vita allows you to engage in single player gaming or partner up with a friend in co-op mode. Unit 13 has been created by Zipper Interactive, the development team also responsible for most of the SOCOM games.
