Some of our readers might remember the Leap Motion device we featured back in August of this year, which has been created to provide Kinect style gesture control to computers systems.

However the Leap Motion device is 200 times more accurate than Microsoft Kinect motion controller which was initially designed for the Xbox 360 gaming console.


Now leap motion has announced that they have created a number of new development tools, and will be releasing 10,000 Leap units to new developers, aiding them develop and build software applications and games for the new gesture control device.

Sony has revealed some more details on when it will be releasing the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to its 2012 Xperia smartphones, the update will arrive in February 2013.

Some devices will get the update in February, which include the Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V beginning and February and continuing in March, so we presume this update will be rolled out in stages.


The Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia Go Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will be rolled out in March, and a couple of weeks after that the Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia Acro S will also get Android 4,.1 Jelly Bean.

e have been hearing rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Grand over the last few weeks, the device is now official and we have the full specifications on this new Android smartphone from Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand features a 5 inch WVGA TFT LCD display, processing is provided by a dual core 1.2GHz processor, and the device comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.


Other specifications in the Samsung Galaxy Grand, include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot that can take up to 32GB cards, there is also a 2,100 mAh battery, WiFi, DLNA and USB 2.0.

We have already seen some leaked photos of the Huwei Ascend W1, and now it would appear that Huawei will be launching the device along with another smartphone, the Ascend D2 which is an Android device at CES in January of next year.

The news comes from Huawei’s Richard Yu announced the new on Weibo, and the Ascend D2 will come with a five inch display with a 1080p resolution plus a quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.


The Huawei Ascend W1 is rumored to come with a 4 inch WVGA display and will apparently feature a dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, plus 512MB of RAM and  4GB of built in storage.

A new iPhone 5 accessory has landed on Kickstarter this week in the form of the new Trygger Camera Clip which is fitted with a polarizing filter to block noisy light allowing you to take even more professional photographs.

In a last effort to raise the the required funds for its Kickstarter project, Molyneux’s 22cans development team have released a new video of their Godus game, providing a glimpse of the gameplay you can expect from the final game.
