Apple released an update to iOS 6 geared directly toward the iPhone 5 and iPad
Mini since both devices seem to have had issues with Wi-Fi. Now just
two days later, users are reporting the batteries on their iPhone 5 and iPad Mini have been draining even faster than before.
Many users are complaining about the issue on Twitter. So far there’s
no word from Apple about this issue, but they need to fix this quickly.
iOS 6.1 is pretty close to being released anyway, so hopefully we have a
fix soon.
No one wants to shell out all of that money for a phone and have problems like this.
Legoland is a place where kids and adults can live out their crazy
Lego dreams and smile all day long, but it is about to get even better.
The Legoland Hotel at Legoland California will have 250 guest rooms in Pirate, Adventure, and Kingdom themes.
The hotel itself isn’t made from Lego bricks, but it will be awesome nonetheless. The hotel will have a Lego-themed castle and swimming pool and much much more.
It sounds like a lot of fun, but since you bought all of those thousands of dollars worth of Lego sets, they really should just come to your house and build something cool.
It was way back in 2010 that tablets
started getting wide adoption, with the first iPad, but it wasn’t until
2012 when suddenly they started appearing in almost every home. In
fact, tablet ownership has reportedly doubled in the United States in
2012, according to Forrester.
A survey covering almost 60,000 Americans concluded that 19% of them
owned a tablet. The survey was for adults 18 years old or older, and
found that the elderly are the slowest in tablet adoption, which isn’t
surprising. People 47 or older were the ones least likely to own a
tablet, with 14% of them having tablets, which is double the number from
2011.
That’s no surprise when you realize that 84% of adults go online every day, up from 78% last year. Tablets are everywhere.
Things haven’t been great for RIM, despite the upcoming reveal of BlackBerry 10,
and possibly the BlackBerry Z10. RIM was delisted from the Nasdaq 100
the other day, and today, RIM posted its fiscal Q3 2013 earnings report.
The company posted a net loss of $114 million on $2.73 billion in
revenue, even though they claimed $14 million in profits for the quarter
due to a $166 million tax settlement. Last year at this time, RIM
reportedly earned $265 million, which was already down at that time.
Even with the loss, they were able to ship 6.9 million smartphones
and 255,000 BlackBerry PlayBooks and increased their cash by $600
million dollars, totaling $2.9 billion. They need to smarten up to
compete with Android and Apple.
