You might want to think twice about buying an iPad from Walmart. In the video below, Walmart employees at Pikeville, Kentucky are throwing iPads in the air while preparing them for sale. It also shows one employee intentionally dropping an iPad on the floor while throwing it to another employee several meters away.

Obviously these guys like to destroy iPads, and they are also jeopardizing Walmart’s reputation, who has already fired the employees.

"We were extremely disappointed to see such disregard for our customers and products. We are currently conducting an internal investigation and will be taking the necessary disciplinary actions. We’d like to reassure our customers that we are inspecting our electronic merchandise inventory and stand behind the products we sell. If there is an issue with a p ... Read more »

Last week, Apple partnered with the American Red Cross to help victims affected by Hurricane Sandy. It even launched a page in the iTunes Store for people to pledge their donations. Today, Apple is upping the ante and donating $2.5 million to the American Red Cross to benefit Hurricane Sandy victims.

This is a great move by Apple. It’s good for PR and it also helps some people who really need it. Apple employees and its customers have raised thousands of dollars for the relief effort.

Under the leadership of Tim Cook, the company has been increasing its charity efforts and they should be commended for it. Hopefully they keep this up.

For a long time if you wanted to protect the screen of your iPad from scratches and drops, you had to use a case or a sticky adhesive film. The problem with those adhesive films is that they rarely stick well leaving you with bubbles to look at. Siedio has unveiled a new screen protector that works for the third and fourth generation iPad as well as the iPad 2.

The screen protector promises to protect the screen from scratches and from cracks sustained from a drop. Rather than being a sticky film, the VITREO is a sheet of tempered glass that fits over the entire surface of your iPad. The glass has a hardness rating of 9H and sticks to the iPad using an included silicone adhesive.

If you ever want to remove the screen protector, the silicone adhesive promises to come off cleanly, leaving no residue behind. The ... Read more »

Even though Apple has only just launched its new iPad Mini, the smaller tablet is already in high demand and stocks are struggling to meet demand. However sources close to the supplier AU Optronics, who currently provides the 1024 x 768 panels for the new iPad mini, say that production is already gearing up to create an iPad Mini retina display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536.

The current iPad Mini has the same resolution as the original larger iPad tablet, but the iPad Mini’s smaller 7 inch screen size has helped enhance the clarity of the display when compared to the original iPad and its helped the new iPad Mini support all application designed for the iPad in the Apple App Store.

Apple and Samsung are in the middle of a number of court cases around the world, and now it would appear that Apple wants to add some new devices ti its lawsuits against Samsung.

According to a recent report by Bloomberg, Apple is accusing Samsung of infringing some of their patents with the Galaxy Note 10.1, and it has also said that Samsung’s implementation of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean infringes on Apple’s patents.

Andrew Liao, an Apple attorney, told Grewal today that the Galaxy Nexus is the only phone with Jelly Bean that Apple seeks to add to the patent complaint. Liao also said Apple wants to add 17 devices that could use a stylus even though the products don’t ship with a stylus.

Victoria Maroulis, an attorney for Samsung, said the company wants to add only one product, the iPhone5, to its complaint. Maroulis ... Read more »

Last week Apple launched their new updated iPad 4 along with their new smaller iPad Mini, the device had been available to pre-order from the 26th of October, although it sold out quickly and the shipping time changed to 2 weeks.

It looks like Apple has now caught up with the demand for the new iPad 4, as they are now listing the device as ‘in stock’ on their website, which means you will not have to wait a couple of weeks to get one.

Apple’s iPad Mini is still showing a shipping time of two weeks, we suspect it may take them a little longer to catch up on the demand for the iPad Mini, you can find out more details about both devices over at Apple.
