Apple donating $2.5 million to Hurricane Sandy victims
Last week, Apple partnered with the American Red Cross to help
victims affected by Hurricane Sandy. It even launched a page in the
iTunes Store for people to pledge their donations. Today, Apple is
upping the ante and donating $2.5 million to the American Red Cross to
benefit Hurricane Sandy victims.
This is a great move by Apple. It’s good for PR and it also helps some
people who really need it. Apple employees and its customers have raised
thousands of dollars for the relief effort.
Under the leadership
of Tim Cook, the company has been increasing its charity efforts and
they should be commended for it. Hopefully they keep this up.
