If you are a gamer that likes to use a Mac for their gaming fix Epic has some epic news for you. The company has announced that finally, after four years of waiting, the Unreal Engine and games using it are coming to the Mac platform.

It has been four years since Epic promised that Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3 would come to Mac gamers. The Unreal Engine 3 UDK that will power these games is now ready to come to developers on the Mac. Not only will that allow Epic to port its own games to Mac, but other games using the engine will be available as well.

The UDK for developers will be available this month and considering there is only about a week and a half left, it should land soon. This is good news indeed for gamers since more availability is on the way.
