Following on from the leaked details of Acer’s new AC710 Chromebook
yesterday, today Google and Acer has announced the launch of the new
Acer C7 Chromebook, running Google’s Chrome operating system. The
new Acer C7 Chromebook has been designed to offer users a hassle-free
computing experience, together with built-in security. As detailed
yesterday the new Acer Chromebook is equipped with 11.6 inch display
combined with a battery that is capable of providing over 3.5 hours of
use.
Acer’s
new C7 Chromebook is powered by an 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron 847 Sandy
Bridge processor supported by 2GB of RAM, and includes a 320GB hard
drive and 100GB of free storage on Google Drive. Google explains: "As
you’d expect from a Chromebook, it’s easy to share with others around
the home. Moms, dads, siblings or even your roommate can all have
separate accounts and simply log in to get things done. And because
Chromebooks bring you the best of Google, if you use products like
Gmail, Drive, Maps, YouTube and Google+, your stuff is always available
and everything just works.” The new Acer Chromebook will be
available for $199 in the US from today on the Google Play website, and
will be available to purchase from Best Buy stores and website. Source: Google |
