Apple recently launched the new iPad
Mini, along with the iPad 4 back in October, and now according to a
recent report by Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White, Apple are
looking to release new models of each device in March.
March would be the one year anniversary of the launch of the iPad 3, and Apple normally releases their new iPad in March, although we saw the slightly updated iPad 4 in October.
Our checks at CES indicate Apple will release the iPad 5 and the
second-generation iPad mini this March. The iPad 5 is expected to be
lighter and thinner than the iPad 4 that was released in October, while
the form factor of the iPad mini should be similar to the first
generation iPad mini that debuted in October.
With regards to the iPad Mini, March would seem a little early as the
first generation iPad Mini was only launched back in October, which
would mean the device would be less than six months old when a new one
is launched, of course this is just a rumor at the moment.
