Dead Space fans looking forward to the official release of the third in the series, are sure to enjoy this new launch trailer which has been released this week to whet your appetite for its arrival.


Dead Space 3 will be launching on February 5th in the US,  February 7th in the Australia  and February 8th throughout Europe, and will see Isaac Clarke battle against the Necromorphs, human corpses reanimated by the signal of a Marker. Watch the Dead Space 3 launch trailer after the jump to see it in action.

It has been reported today by the Asahi Times, that the Japanese ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in Japan has announced that they will start streaming 4K television pictures during the finals of the football World Cup in Brazil in July 2014.


Two years ahead of when the Japanese were first planning to launch their new ultra high definition 4K broadcasting, which was originally destined to be started in 2016.

The first ultra high definition 4K broadcasting has been brought forward in the hope that it will encourage consumers to purchase the new 4K televisions that are already on sale in Japan and created by Japanese manufacturers including Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic and Sharp together with Korean manufacturers such as LG. Today Nikon has launched a number of new Coolpix cameras to its range in the form of the Nikon Coolpix P520 (pictured below) that is equipped with a 18 megapixel sensor, 3.2-inch tilting LCD, GPS support, Wi-Fi connectivity and massive 42 x zoom, all for just $450.


Also announced today was the new Nikon Coolpix S9500 equipped with a 18.1 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 3-inch OLED display, Wi-Fi, GPS support, and a smaller 22 x zoom priced at $350.

Finally the Nikon Coolpix S5200 (pictured below) has also been launched for a modest $180 and includes a petite 6x zoom and is equipped with a 16 megapixel CMOS sensor with Wi-Fi connectivity. Nikon explains a little more about the  Nikon Coolpix P520:

Via Twitter today producers Casey Hudson and Michael Gamble from the Mass Effect development team tweeted a couple of new screenshots, which could be from the new Mass Effect 3 DLC which is currently in development.


Very little detail is known about the new Mass Effect 3 DLC but these first images unveiled today are for unannounced content for the action role-playing game, and could provide a few clues as to what you can expect.

Hudson teased about the image he tweeted below : "Looks like a nice place for some R&R…”  and  about the picture above  showing an armored Krogan creature wielding a heavy melee weapon. Gamble said of the image, "Does not like a guy you’d like to mess with…”

Sony recently announced their new Flagship Android smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z, and now it would appear that we may have a possible launch date for the device, at least in Japan.

According to Yodobashi Camera in Japan, Sony will launch the new Xperia Z on the 9th of February, this date has yet to be confirmed by Sony and it is not clear whether this would be a Japan only release date or a worldwide release date.


The Sony Xperia Z features a quad core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor and 2GB of RAM, there is also a 5 inch full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.

Smartphone companion watches or smartwatches as they are sometimes known, are becoming more and more popular as an extension of your smartphone, allowing you to keep track of important notifications from your phone on your wrist.

Samsung are expected to release their fourth generation Galaxy S smartphone in April, the Samsung Galaxy S4 which is rumored to be announced at a Samsung Unpacked event in March.

Over the last few weeks we have heard a number of rumors about the new Samsung Galaxy S4, which include that the handset will come with new eye tracking technology featuring Eye Pause and Eye Scroll.


We have also heard that Samsung will include wireless charging on their Galaxy S4, which will come in the form of an accessory with a separate dock and back cover for the handset.

ZTE has unveiled a new addition to their range this week in the form of the ZTE V81 Android tablet which comes supplied running Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.


The ZTE V81 is fitted with a 4:3 aspect ratio 8 inch 1,024 × 768 resolution touchscreen, powered by a dual core 1.4 GHz processor, supported by 1GB of RAM and includes 4GB of internal storage.

Other features of the ZTE V81 Android 4.1 tablet include a microSD card slot for expansion, a 2 megapixel rear camera, a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera, and  21 Mbps HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth connectivity.

It looks like HP is the latest company to release a notebook running Google’s Chrome OS, as details have been leaked on a new HP Pavilion Chromebook, the device has yet to be officially announced by HP.


The HP Pavilion Chromebook will run Google’s Chrome OS and will feature a 14 inch HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, it will also come with a 1.1GHz Intel Celeron processor.

Other specifications on the HP Chromebook include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of solid state storage, the battery will apparently give you up to 4 hours of usage, the HP Chromebook is expected to be officially announced on the 17th of February.

Epic Games has today announced that they will be launching a new demo of their upcoming Gears of War: Judgment game which is currently in development, on the same day it is launched in the US.

Gears of War: Judgment is set to be released by Epic Games on March 19th for Xbox Live Gold members in the US and Friday 22nd March in the UK.


"Gears of War: Judgment will have two new multiplayer modes, OverRun and Free-for-All, including maps as Gondola, Island and Library. The series trademark feature, ‘Down but Not Out’, will be absent in the Free-for-All game modes, also resulting in the absence of executions.”

When you purchase a new computer system or storage drive, you expect to be able to use the advertised disk space to store your files and folders. But Microsoft has made a surprising statement that reveals that their Surface Pro 128GB tablet will only offer 83GB of usable storage space.


Even thought the 83GB is far more than tablet equipped with 64GB of storage, it is also far less than the advertised 128GB of space advertise by Microsoft in it global marketing campaign. Should it not be a the Surface Pro 80GB tablet?
