Halo 2
multiplayers will be disappointed to learn that Microsoft has announced
it will be closing the doors on its servers next month. With 15th
February marking the end date for the Halo 2 PC multiplayer service.
As well as announcing then end of the Halo 2 Multiplayer service next
month Microsoft also revealed more information on new Spartan Ops
episodes of which the second half of Season One launches next Monday.
"To prepare you for the impending flurry of Spartan Ops-related
information, I’ve assembled some fun facts about the first half of
Spartan Ops Season 1. And by "I’ve assembled some fun facts”, I of
course mean I had someone else assemble some fun facts, because we both
know there’s nothing I love more (well, besides Adam Kovic, that is)
than having other people do my work. Off we go!”

4,696,752 hours were spent playing Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
901,258,308 kills were earned in Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
262,150,257 assists were earned in Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
167,101,619 deaths were recorded in Spartan Ops Matchmaking in the first two months.
"Shootout In Valhalla” was the most played Mission in the first half of Spartan Ops Season 1.

Halo 2 originally launched on PC in May 2007, two-and-a-half years after it first released on Xbox.
