It looks like HP is the latest company to release a notebook running Google’s Chrome OS, as details have been leaked on a new HP Pavilion Chromebook, the device has yet to be officially announced by HP.


The HP Pavilion Chromebook will run Google’s Chrome OS and will feature a 14 inch HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, it will also come with a 1.1GHz Intel Celeron processor.

Other specifications on the HP Chromebook include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of solid state storage, the battery will apparently give you up to 4 hours of usage, the HP Chromebook is expected to be officially announced on the 17th of February.

When you purchase a new computer system or storage drive, you expect to be able to use the advertised disk space to store your files and folders. But Microsoft has made a surprising statement that reveals that their Surface Pro 128GB tablet will only offer 83GB of usable storage space.


Even thought the 83GB is far more than tablet equipped with 64GB of storage, it is also far less than the advertised 128GB of space advertise by Microsoft in it global marketing campaign. Should it not be a the Surface Pro 80GB tablet?

According to a recent report by IDC, China’s Huawei is now the worlds third most popular smartphone manufacturer with total shipments of 10.8 million for the final quarter of 2012.

This has apparently given Huawei a 4.9 percent share of the smartphone market, and in second place is Apple with a 21.8 percent share and shipments of47.8 million smartphones.


Samsung is still in first place with total global smartphone sales of 63.7 million, which gives them a 29 percent share of the smartphone market, Sony is in fourth place with a 4.5 percent share, and in fifth we have ZTE with a 4.3 percent share.

AMD has today announced the launch of a new Gizmo board, and new development board which has been designed to wards x86-based embedded system development.

The Gizmo development board is a low-cost, low-power multipurpose compact development board, measuring just 4 x 4 inches in size but boasts a 52.8 GFLOP capacity.


The new Gizmo board is now available from Gizmosphere and has been created to enable you to  evaluate, experiment and design, and is equipped with a AMD G-T40E processor (dual core, 1GHz) with Radeon HD 6250 graphics, and 1GB of DDR3 SDRAM. Kamal Khouri, director of Embedded Products, AMD explains:

A new developer board has been launched this week in the form of the ARMBRIX Zero which is equipped with a Samsung Exynos 5 ARM Cortex-A15 processor. Which offer developers and hobbyists a mini PC that offers a little more power than the $35 Raspberry Pi mini PC.

Belkin has announced that it has struck a deal with Cisco to purchase the company’s Linksys home router business, which will give the company a 30 percent share of the home router and small business networking market in the US.


We’re very excited about this announcement,” said Chet Pipkin, CEO of Belkin. "Our two organizations share many core beliefs – we have similar beginnings and share a passion for meeting the real needs of our customers through the strengths of an entrepreneurial culture. A very quick Pebble unboxing video created by the Engadget might whet your appetite a little more while you wait for yours to arrive.


Its has been nine months since the Pebble successfully funded in project on Kickstarter and after a few delays they announced at CES 2013 that they would start shipping the new smartwatch on january 23rd 2013. Don’t expect to much to arrive n the box though as its been kept to a minimum, check it out in the video below.
