Last week s well as announcing the new iPad
Mini, Apple also updated their iPad to a fourth generation model which
comes with some improvements over the third generation model, including a
new processor and a lightning dock connector.
Now some benchmarks from Geekbench, of the new iPad
4 have revealed that it features a dual core Apple A6 processor clocked
at 1.4GHz, which is faster than the one used in Apple’s new iPhone 5.
The benchmarks have also revealed that the new iPad
4 comes with 1GB of RAM, have a look at the benchmark below which
compares the iPad 4 to the iPhone 5 and also the iPad 3, it looks like
it is faster than both the iPhone 5 and also the iPad 3.

Google’s latest devices which include the new Nexus 7 tablet, the Nexus 10 tablet and the new Nexus 4 smartphone will all come with a new version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Google
has now released some details of what is new in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean,
which includes a new camera feature called Photo Sphere that lets you
snap photos in any direction and then join the photos together. Google
has also updated the keyboard in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, with new
gesture typing, and another new feature is multiple users for tablets,
allowing you to setup your tablet for individual users with different

If you’re familiar with some of the novelty USB gadgets out there
like missile launchers and such, you’ve probably seen a Dream Cheeky
product. The company has announced a new product called the iStrike
Shuttle that is on Kickstarter right now looking for the funding for production. The device is a iOS controlled flying toy.
The
app will allow control of the helicopter using motion controls or
finger swipes. The coolest part about this flying toy is that it has a
ping-pong ball inside they can be dropped at the touch of a button. The toy helicopter also ships with a orange wheel that connects to the bottom of the helicopter to help you learn to fly it. The

Philips has announced a new light bulb which is designed to be controlled by eithet your smartphone or tablet, the Philips Hue, which is a web enabled LED lightbulb and you can use your device to change the color of the bulb.

Apple is right now the most valuable company in
the world, and their stock price has certainly grown by leaps and
bounds over the years.
The thing is, what goes up must come down, but it
does seem as though it will take some time before Apple is subject to
the laws of gravity and fall back onto Newton’s proverbial head. One of
the upcoming innovations from Apple include the possibility of Apple
kicking off their very own streaming service in order to offer consumers
yet another choice in an already crowded market that has players such
as Spotify, Pandora, and Zune amongst others.

Your favorite rapper’s favorite file sharing website is going to relaunch as soon as 2013, Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom announced today.
The site, simply called Mega, is going to be a rebirth of a website
that once recorded 50 million unique visitors in a day as recently as
2011.
Earlier this year, US investigators in conjunction with New
Zealand police raided Kim Dotcom’s mansion and servers. The raid
happened on January 19, 2011, so Dotcom figures January 19 2012 is a
perfect time to relaunch the site.
Apparently, according to Dotcom, the coding is almsot done and the
servers have been ordered. However, if you’re hoping to get your old
files back, that’s not going to happen. Mega will be a fresh new site.

MIO, the maker of the world’s first strapless heart rate monitor watch, is unveiling today its newest product, the MIO Active Connect.
This new device is something the company considers to be the first
weight loss wristwatch, that will accurately gauges how many calories
you’ve burned in order to assess how to lose weight more effectively.
Users can wear this fitness watch, similar to what they would do with
the Nike+ FuelBand or the FitBit, and just behave how they normally
would. The Active Connect measures and records calories burned
throughout the day, along with monitoring your heart rate through its
EKG monitor, and measures your steps with a pedometer.

MSI has today announced that their gaming laptops
will be receiving a refresh and an upgrade to Windows 8 operating
system launching today,with the first laptops to receive the new refresh
being the MSI GT60 And GT70. The MSI GT60 And GT70
high performance gaming laptops originally launched back in July of
this year, and MSI are also looking to now upgrade
their budget-conscious GE series and the AMD processor-based GX60 gaming
laptop with Microsoft’s new Windows 8 operating system as well.

Hard drive and peripheral manufacturer LaCie
has today unveiled a new addition to their range of external solid
state disk (SSD) drives, with the unveiling of their new LaCie Porsche
Design Slim Drive. The Lacie Porsche Design external drive is
available as either a solid state disk 120GB (SSD) or a more traditional
500GB HDD, and comes equipped with a USB 3.0 port for super-fast data
transfer.
