During CES last week Viewsonic unveiled a trio of touchscreen
monitors designed specifically to be used with Microsoft’s latest
Windows 8 operating system.
The three new Viewsonic monitors take the form of the TD2340, TD2740
and TD3240 which are all scratch resistant, 10-point Windows 8 certified
displays.
The TD 40 family features Professional Grade IPS panels offering resolutions of 1920 x 1080 with full HD resolution and 20,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio. Ports on the monitors inlcude DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA, along with full USB HID compliance and VESA mount compatibility.
"10 Point Touch will revolutionize the way we connect with our digital world,” said Erik Willey, LCD monitor
and PC product marketing director at ViewSonic. "This Windows 8
certified 40 Series is designed to deliver an optimized Windows 8 touch
experience with the projected capacitive touch technology, outstanding
ergonomics and versatile connectivity that ViewSonic is known for.”
The TD 40 Series will be available in the US and the TD2340 will be
available in January, the TD3240 in February and the TD2740 in April,
for $599, $2,499 and $799 respectively.
