Polish developer Flying Wild Hog confirms a
September 13 release date and system requirements for its upcoming dark
sci-fi FPS for PCs, Hard Reset.
You’ve got to hand it to Flying Wild Hog, the Polish developer behind Hard Reset.
No one had ever heard of the upcoming first-person shooter for PC
platforms until mid-July 2011, when a trailer and the first details
emerged on what was described as a "dark sci-fi FPS” in the vein of
works like Blade Runner. A summer game reveal isn’t an unusual thing, but the release plan was unusual, with a September 2011 window targeted.
Flying Wild Hog has now narrowed down the window to a single day — September 13 — which means that Hard Reset
will have gone from initial reveal to release in the space of two
months. Such timetables aren’t unusual in this increasingly mobile
gaming-oriented envi

Multiple reports have suddenly hit, reinforcing that there is a future for the iTV at Apple. In the wake of Steve Jobs’ resignation, rumors that Apple is planning to produce a branded television have begun to circulate.
This particular Apple TV would be an actual screen television set,
not the Apple TV set-top box for streaming content that’s currently on
the market. It would appear that there are various pieces to an Apple TV
puzzle that are beginning to line up, and this entire product might be
more than a fanboy’s pipe dream. It’s loosely being referred to as
"iTV,” and there are more than a few reasons why this rumor won’t die.

Whoever said Razer is the new Alienware wasn’t far off. Alright, it
was us after going through the spec list for this thing. In fact, we
might be a bit off, because this thing doesn’t really look like
Alienware’s usual fare, i. e. some sort of Goth Cylon. It even looks a
bit… grown up if you ignore the radioactive green branding.
At this point, we’ll just unceremoniously drop the spec list on you:
- 2.8GHz IntelCore i7 2640M processor
- 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 memory
- 17.3″ LED Backlit Display (1920×1080)
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M with NVIDIA Optimus technology
- 2GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory
- Built-in HD webcam
- Integrated 60Wh battery

The latest Elder Scrolls adventure, Skyrim,
will fix nagging gameplay issues from Oblivion as well as well as
presenting players with a lush, dynamic world they can truly get lost
in.
For awhile now, the game publisher has been talking about the size of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, and comparing it to the last Elder Scrolls adventure, Oblivion.
In actuality, the size of the virtual worlds are the same, but with the
mountain region of the new game, the way players will navigate the
world will take longer (Oblivion offered flatter terrain for more direct
routes). But Skyrim has been designed to offer a larger adventure to
gamers in a scope that goes beyond square miles.
Skyrim will offer more dense quests for players to explore
through its new Radiant Story System. This technology will serve up
random encounters, quests and town

Trends racks up an impressive body count in Call of Duty: Black Ops'
Zombies mode with the newly released Rezurrection map pack.
This week sees the release of what will no doubt be the very last DLC expansion for Treyarch‘s 2010 hit, Call of Duty: Black Ops. The Rezurrection
map pack is unusual for a couple of reasons. For starters, it’s all
Zombie maps– five of them, to be precise. Four of the five have already
been released, they’re the four Zombie mode maps from Call of Duty: World at War and its DLC expansions, previously available in Black Ops
for those who got the Hardened or Prestige edition of the game: Shi No
Numa–”Swamp”, Nacht Der Untoten–”Factory”, Verruckt–”Asylum” and Der
Riese–”Factory.”
The fifth map, "Moon,” is completely new and pretty much the most
insane zombie-killing playground that Treyarch has yet u

Devil May Cry can look forward to younger, raging Dante in the 2012
reboot, along with a total change of environments, Angel and Devil
modes, and aerial combat galore.
British developer Ninja Theory made the trek to Cologne, Germany for
Gamescom 2011 to show off a very short tease of Capcom’s Devil May Cry
prequel. The game will reboot the franchise with a brand new Dante, who
has been completely redesigned as a younger, less refined hero. But his
attitude has remained intact.
Rebel with a demon-smashing cause
The game retains the black humor that has been a staple of the
third-person perspective action franchise, but it brings a more
contemporary feel to the forefront. Tameem Antoniades, who’s official
title is "Ninja Theory’s main creative dude,” used a Hollywood boxing
reference to compare the new Da
