Nike is encouraging a more active lifestyle and before you go outdoors, you may want to strap on its latest product called Nike+ FuelBand.

The special band uses a new metric the company calls NikeFuel. It measures your movements and you earn NikeFuel as you become more active.

Nike wants you to get more NikeFuel and to show how serious they are, no less than seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong, NBA All-Star Kevin Durant and 2011 IAAF World Champion Carmelita Jeter graced the launch of the product.

If you’re the type who want to track your stats, the FuelBand might just be your thing as its 20 LED lights provide various indicators and the band itself may be synced to Nike+ through USB or a free iPhone app.
