The HTC Thunderbolt is free on Verizon if you get a contract with them, making it a good option for those looking for a 4G LTE
without the high price tage associated with it. The Thunderbolt may not
be at the top of your wishlist when it comes to specs but with Verizon
offering it for free if you stay with them for two years, you might want
to take a second look.
While most smartphones today have a
dual-core processor, the Thunderbolt only comes with a 1 GHz Snapdragon
chip. Still good enough, just that it’s no longer at par with high-end
phones nowadays. The phone also comes with an 8-megapixel camera and an

Any first person shooter
gamers that might be interested in taking part in setting a new world
record. Will be interested to learn that the Swedish non-profit company
MuchDifferent, who is dedicated to the development of over-the-top
technology. Is planning to organise a game of "Man vs Machine” that will
include 1000 FPS gamers on January 29 at 4.00 Central European Time.
The setup that will be used to run the game will consist of eight
single threaded servers running Unity, which is the development platform
and game engine for browsers that will be powering the FPS game.

Archos announced their new Android powered home phone last June, the
device recently launched in the US and now Archos has also launched it
in the UK, the Archos 35. The Archos 35 is a DECT phone that is
designed top be used with your land line, and it comes with a range of
standard phone features, as well as some cool ones as it is powered by
Google’s Android OS.

LG and Verizon recently announced their latest Android smartphone, the LG Spectrum 4G LTE and now the handset is available on Verizon Wireless for $199.99 when you sign up to a new two year contract with the carrier.
The LG Spectrum comes with support for Verizon’s 4G
LTE network and it features a 4.5 inch HD display, the display comes
with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, which means it can display HD
videos and content in 720p.
Other specifications on the LG Spectrum include a dual core Qualcomm

Nike
is encouraging a more active lifestyle and before you go outdoors, you
may want to strap on its latest product called Nike+ FuelBand.
The
special band uses a new metric the company calls NikeFuel. It measures
your movements and you earn NikeFuel as you become more active. Nike
wants you to get more NikeFuel and to show how serious they are, no
less than seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong, NBA
All-Star Kevin Durant and 2011 IAAF World Champion Carmelita Jeter

Samsung has added a couple of new mobile phones to its range with the
launch of the Samsung Star 3 and the Star 3 Duos, which will launch in
Russia at first and will then be available in Europe and other countries
around the world.
The two handsets share the same specifications, except that the Star 3
Duos comes with a dual SIM card slot allowing you to use two seperate
SIM cards on the handset.
The Star 3 and Star 3 Duos feature a 3 inch QVGA TFT LCD touchscreen
display and a 3.2 fixed focus megapixel camera, and it also runs

It looks like we may have some information on how much Microsoft charges hardware manufacturers for its Windows Phone licenses, the new comes from smartphone manufacturer ZTE, who recently unveiled a new Windows Phone, the ZTE Tania.
According to Trusted reviews, they were informed by Santiago Sierra, a
Portfolio Manager for ZTE in the UK, that ZTE pays Microsoft between
£15 and £20 for each Windows Phone smartphone, which works out at around
$23 to $30.

We first saw the ZTE Tania
back in September of last year, and now the device is official and has
launched in the UK, the Tania is designed to be a budget Windows Phone smartphone.
The ZTE Tania comes with the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile OS,

When Nokia originally launched the Nokia Lumia 800 last year a number of owners of the device reported problems with the battery
life on the handset, Nokia released a software update near the end of
last year and also said that they would be releasing another battery
update in January.
Now Nokia has confirmed that the second battery update for the Nokia
Lumia 800 is almost ready and it will be rolled out over the next two
