SmartQ has unveiled a new addition to the range of Android tablets this week with the launch of their Android SmartQ X7 tablet, which is now available to purchase for $249.
The latest SmartQ X7 Android tablet is powered by a 1.5 GHz TI OMAP
4470 dual core processor supported by a massive 2 GB of RAM, with
graphics provided by a PowerVR SGX544.
The SmartQ X7 Android tablet will ship running Google’s latest
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, and cones supplied with 16 GB
of internal storage together with a microSD card slot enabling you to
expand the storage even further if required.

We have heard rumors previously that Samsung will be launching a dual
SIM version of their Galaxy Note II smartphone, and now according to a
recent report the device will launch in China on the 24th of November.
The dual SIM version of the Galaxy Note II is rumored to be headed to
China Telecom, and it will apparently take one GSM SIM card and one CDMA SIM card.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II features a 5.5 inch HD Super AMOLED multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, processing is provided by a quad core 1.6GHz processor.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II comes with a choice of either 16GB, 32GB
or 64GB of storage, the device also comes with a microSD card slot and a
front facing 1.9 megapixel camera and a rear 8 megapixel camera.

We have seen lots of leaked photos of the new HTC Droid DNA over the last few weeks, and now HTC and Verizon have made the device official and we have full details on this new HTC Android smartphone for Verizon Wireless. The
HTC Droid DNA features a 5 inch Full HD display with a resolution of
1920 x 1080p and 440ppi, processing is provided by a quad core Qualcomm
Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, clocked at 1.5GHz.
Other
specifications on the Droid DNA include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built in
storage, and the device comes with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and HTC Sense 4+, there is also Bluetooth and NFC. The
HTC Droid DNA features dual cameras, up front we have a 2.1 megapixel

Now that Google has launched Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, many owners of devices will be wondering if their device will be getting the Android 4.2 update, and it would appear that there are two devices that unfortunately will not get the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update.
Google
recently posted the source code of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to AOSP, and
also revealed some information about the Motorola Xoom tablet and the Nexus S smartphone with regards to Android 4.2, which you can see below. -There is no support for 4.2 on Nexus S and Xoom. Those devices should continue using 4.1.2 So it looks like both the Motorola Xoom and The Google Nexus S will remain on Android 4.1.2 and will not be getting updated to Android 4.2 in the future. On Monday we heard that Motorola had finished the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Droid RAZR M smartphone on Verizon Wieless, and that the update was being tested on certain devices.
Now it would appear that Verizon has started rolling out the Android
4.1 Jelly Bean update to the Droid RAZR M, as a number of owners of the
device have reported receiving the update.
If you have received the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update on your Droid
RAZR M, leave a comment below and let us know, if you haven’t received
it you can check to see if it is available through the settings menu on
your device.

We have featured a number of great keyboards here on Geeky gadgets
over the years but student Florian Krautli has created an awesome
prototype of a Vibrative Virtual Keyboard for Apple’s iPhone smartphone.
The Vibrative Virtual Keyboard uses the iPhone’s accelerometer sensor to "measure the amplitude of tiny vibrations that emerge when a person is ‘typing’ on a hard surface.” Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the Vibrative Virtual Keyboard project and see it in action.

The HTC
One X+ has been available in the UK for a short while, and now the
device is headed to the US and will be available with AT&T from the
16th of November, the device is now available to pre-order.
AT&T are offering the HTC One X+ for $199.99 when you sign up to a
new two year contract with the carrier, the device will also retail for
$549.99 without a contract.
The HTC One X+ comes with a 4.7 inch HD multi-touch display,
processing is provided bu a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, and it
features Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Other specifications on the HTC One X+ include an 8 megapixel camera on the back plus a 1.6 megapixel camera

Google recently dropped the price of their 16GB Nexus 7 tablet by $49, and it would appear that there is some good news for anyone who purchased a Nexus 7 tablet recently. Google
has decided to refund the price difference of $50 to anyone who
purchased the Nexus 7 tablet, just before they drop the price down from
$249 to $199.
Nexus 7 (16GB version only) purchases from Devices on Google Play are currently eligible for Price Protection
if the purchase was made on or after October 14, 2012. If your purchase
is eligible, we’ll refund the difference in price within 14 days of
your request. Anyone who purchased a Nexus 7 tablet from
Google between the 14th of October and the 29th of October, when the
price was dropped can receive a refund of the difference from Google.

Today the latest version of the budget Aakash 2 Android tablet has been unveiled in India, which will be sold to Indian students at a subsidised price of Rs 1,130 around $21. The
Aakash 2 is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor supported by 512MB of
RAM and is equipped with a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display, and
will run Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.

Pictures have been leaked this week of a new Chromebook which has
been created by Acer and will be their second Chromebook to be launched.
The new Chromebook takes the form of the Acer AC710 and has been
revealed on the French website Mini Machines.
The new Acer
Chromebook laptop is identical to the Acer Aspire V5-171 notebook, but
comes running Google’s Chrome operating system, with a Chrome logo on
its case.
The
Acer AC710 is fitted with a 11.6 inch display, sporting a resolution of
1366 x 768 pixels and is powered by a Intel Core i5 Sandy Bridge
Processor supported by 6Gb of RAM and includes a 500GB HDD. Unfortunately
