Apple has just chalked up a great win in their ongoing battle with
Samsung by winning an injunction preventing Samsung to sell their Galaxy
S Series smartphones within the EU. The new injunction has been granted
by Rechtbank ‘s-Gravenhage, a Dutch court in the city of The Hague.
The court has issued a formally Europe-wide preliminary injunction
against Samsung’s Galaxy S, Galaxy S II and Ace smartphones. Following
on from a similar injunction granted by a German court a couple of weeks
ago.
The injunction does not however include Samsung’s Galaxy tablets – at Apples request. According to the Foss Patents

The file management
features within Windows have not drastically changed for a number of
versions, but copying, moving, renaming, and deleting are by far the
most heavily used features within Windows Explorer.
Well in Windows 8 Microsoft is looking to improve their functionality
with a fresh look and redesign these everyday core operations. Watch a
video created by Microsoft after the jump explaining a few of the new features they will be adding to their Windows 8 OS when it rolls out.
Microsoft explains their thoughts behind the file management refresh:
"Our focus is on improving the experience of the person who is
doing high-volume copying with Explorer today, who would like more
control, more insight into what’s going on while copying, and a cleaner,
more streamlined experience.”

Samsung has a new netbook coming that is going to be almost just like
the N100 that has been tipped in the past. The N100 is a machine that
runs the MeeGo operating system. The N102 will have the same 10.1-inch
screen and Intel N435 processor inside. The difference will be the OS.
Whereas the N100 runs Meego, the N102 will run Windows 7 Starter. Both the N100 and N102 will run 1GB of DDR3 RAM, the processor is a slow 1.33 GHz, and the storage will be to a 250GB HDD. That means this will be no speed demon.
The screen has an anti-glare coating and a resolution of 1024 x 600. Graphics are going to be via Intel GMA
3150 integrated. Power comes from a 3-cell battery and the netbook has a
memory card reader, VGA port, and more. The N100 is expected to be
around $200 with the N102 at $299.

You might have thought you had played Virtua Fighter 5 about four
years back. You thought right! And wrong at the same time. It’s kind of
the same logic that gives birth to about three new Street Fighter IV
editions a year (we think, though make sure to Wikipedia it if you care
that much), each more Hyper and Premium-Extremo than the last.
However, logic has very little to do
with kicking people in the head, so let’s leave it aside for now, at
least long enough for us to put the word out there that Virtua Fighter
5: Final Showdown is coming to a home console digital delivery platform
near you. The game is apparently "a full overhaul of Virtua Fighter 5‘s
mechanics, balance and animations,” as well as, and you might want to
sit down for this one: new costumes. Somewhere, god just killed an indie
developer. And a puppy.

MetroPCS is a pre-paid carrier that offers service in many areas with
no contract. The company has announced that it has landed a new
smartphone for users to check out called the Samsung Admire. The Admire
is an Android device and it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The smartphone has an 800MHz processor and a 3.5-inch touchscreen.
The device also has WiFi and a 3.2MP rear camera with video recording
capability. This is no top of the line smartphone, but with no need for a
contact, it may be appealing to some.
The Admire will work with the MetroPCS
unlimited plans. You can order one up for $129.99 and the rate plans
for the smartphone are $50 or $60 monthly. This might be a nice
smartphone for the person wanting Android on a budget.

Good news! Ubisoft’s seething hatred for its customers seemed to have
simmered down to a slow boil. As a result, Eric Chahi’s well-received…
RTS? God game? uhh… game will be drawing its first free offline breath
about two weeks from now. We’re not sure what finally led Ubisoft to the
conclusion that inflicting online multiplayer game problems on an
offline single-player game without any reasonable justification was a
valid business model, but we’re just glad they finally did.
"This development time is required as we are working to ensure that
those who have already started the game, and who’s progress is currently
saved on our servers, will receive and save their game information
locally,” according to Ubisoft. "Once the patch is ready, players who
already have the game will automatically receive the update on their
next login and subseque

It’s hardly a theory and the only guys testing if it were possible
are running models in Mexico. See, the idea goes that in the darkness of
our past when bacteria enjoyed dominion over a malformed world,
particles broke off or were convulsed out of the Earth’s crust, sending
them to the stars. What happened next? Read more after the jump.
Based on simulations at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, thousands of particles ‘ejected’ from Earth
have reached Mars and beyond. (Remember: according to the simulation.)
Of course, this is essentially toying with an unproven scenario, but the
scientists involved are encouraged by the results so far.
What they ultimately want to find out is if such a phenomenon as
Earth-based comets did exist, the question remains if it somehow brought
microbial life on our planet elsewhere. At the rate they’re going, it
will take some time befo

Quite a sight , to be honest. Below is every single robot that has
figured in movies for the past century. Movies and cartoons and TV shows
to be specific. The challenge, however, is to spot Wall-E. That’s why
it’s called Where’s Wall-E (get it?) We’ve already pinpointed where he
is, but we’re not telling (there’s a hint after the jump.) On the other
hand, his love interest Eva is in plain sight.
If you’re wondering who bothered creating this brain-torture, it’s none other than animator/artist Richard Sargent.
The man is mad about robots from science fiction movies and has finally
gone about assembling all of them in one canvass. A
few familiar highlights are an ABC Warrior, a classic old school
Autobot, Bender from Futurama,
and R2D2 (of course.) The difficult part is spotting Wall-E. It takes a
good dose of concentration to do so, but it’s worth a try. However, is
the pic
