We know that Microsoft’s next operating system, Windows 8 will be tablet friendly and have already seen some photos and video of the Windows 8 tablet user interface.
Now some Windows 8 tablet applications have started to appear, with
companies already starting development of the applications ahead of the
Windows 8 launch.
One of those is a USA Today application, and they are planning to use the Metro UI of Windows 8, for their tablet app, and USA Today’s Art Director, Robbie Dillon has described the application in his online resume.
In preparation for the Windows 8 release, this app is being built
to take advantage of the touch-first, native environment of Windows 8,
while retaining the look and feel of the Windows Metro UI and showcasing
the content of USA Today.

We have been hearing more and more about Sony’s new Android tablets the S1 and S2, and now the guys over at Engadget have got some more information on the Sony S2 tablet.
According to the report the Sony S2 will be called the Sony Tablet P
when it launches next month, and it will feature dual 5.5 inch
multi-touch displays, and with come with 512mb of RAM, 4GB of storage
with a 2GB SD card included, 4G and WiFi connectivity, plus an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.
As soon as we get the full specifications on the new Sony Tablet P,
including exactly when it will be available and how much it will retail
for we will let you guys know.

The Samsung Galaxy S II
was expected to launch in the US today, the 29th of August, and the
event was taking place in New York, Samsung have now decided to change
the launch date to the 30th of August.
We heard last week that Verizon may not be carrying the new Samsung Galaxy S II in the US, so we guess this will be confirmed tomorrow one way or another.

On Friday we heard a rumor that Google TV
would be launching in the UK some time within the next six months, and
now Google’s Eric Schmidt has confirmed that Google TV will launch in
the UK in early 2012.
Google has said that the UK version of Google TV will feature content
from popular on demand services like the BBC’s iPlayer and the ITV
player, with more services being added before the launch.
Google TV hasn’t exactly been that popular in the US, with many manufacturers of Google TV devices
dropping the price of their hardware including Logitech and Sony, it
will be interesting to see if Google can make Google TV popular here in
the UK and Europe.

We have been hearing rumors that the Motorola Droid Bionic would launch on the 8th of September, and now it looks like this will be the official launch date, as a Motorola twitter account has confirmed the 8th of September as the launch date.
Motorola has now also listed the Droid Bionic on their homepage, although it looks like the full official specifications are missing for now.
From what we heard previously, the Droid Bonic will come with Android
2.3.4 Gingerbread, a 4.3 inch qHD touchscreen display with a resolution
of 540 x 960 pixels, plus CDMA, EVDO and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, plus
Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.
There will also be a 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor, plus 1GB of RAM,
and 32GB of built in storage, there is also a microSD card slot which
can take up to 32GB cards, plus an 8 megapixel camera on the back with
an LED flash, auto focus and 4x zoom, the camera will be cap
