If you fancy watching a little TV on your iPhone Japanese company Logitec have unveiled a new battery
case called the LDT-1Si41 which will provide your iPhone with an
additional 1500 mAh battery and enable it to receive TV signals. Watch

The Motorola Droid Bionic only went on sale in the US yesterday, as with any new gadget, the guys over at iFixit have managed to get their hands on the new Droid Bionic, and have decided to take it apart to see what was inside.
According to the iFixit guys, the Droid Bionic is one of the easier
devices they have taken apart, and all you need is a Torx T5
screwdriver.
Not surprisingly, it received a 9 out of 10 repairability score, as the phone
is held together with a limited number of screws and plastic clips.

One of RIM’s latest smartphones, the BlackBerry Curve 9350 was due to go on sales with mobile operator Sprint in the US today, now it would appear that the handset has been delayed.
Sprint
has announced that the BlackBerry Curve 9350 has now been delayed o
their network and it wont be available until some time in October.
Due to unexpected circumstances, Sprint shifted the launch of the
BlackBerry Curve 9350 smartphone beyond the planned Sept. 9
availability date. It will now go on sale in October with a specific
availability date shared at a later time.
No reason was given for the delay has been given, and also no exact
date in October for the launch of the BlackBerry Curve 9350 has been
given.

Sony’s white PS3 is making it way a little
further afield in November and will finally be arriving in both Europe
and Australia. The ceramic white PS3 console
was launched in the middle of last year in Japan but there
is unfortunately still no new when the white PS3 console will be
arriving in the US.
As with the silver version of the PS3 there are no differences in the specification with the white PS3 just its clean ceramic white colour.
When the white PS3 finally arrives in November it will be equipped
with a 320GB HDD and two controllers for a price of €300/£250 or
AUD$448.

Google has today launched a new programming language called Dart for "structured web programming.”
Unfortunately there aren’t many technical details about the new Dart
programming language as yet. But the brand-new language will be
discussed by tech lead manager Lars Bak and Google software engineer
Gilad Bracha at the Goto international software development conference next month on October 10th.
Google describes its new Dart programming language as a "fast, statically typed, compiled language that feels like a dynamically typed, interpreted language”
Rumours were started a few weeks ago about Dart when Google started
registering domain names that included the word Dart. But it
was initially thought that the domain may be linked to one of Google’s
advertising platforms which is called Dart.

Samsung announced a new range of Galaxy smartphones
last month, one of those was the new Samsung Galaxy Y, and it looks
like it will be headed to mobile operator Vodafone here in the UK.
The Samsung Galaxy Y will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and it features a 3 inch multi-touch touchscreen display and a 832MHz processor.
Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy Y include a 1200 mAh battery, a microSD card slot which can take up to 32GB microSd cards, Bluetooth and WiFi.

Smozzy a new Android app
let users who have a T-Mobile unlimited messaging plan, browse the web
without the need for a data plan. The application has been designed to
work similar to a browser but rather than using a data plan, URL’s you
enter are then sent via SMS to the Smozzy servers which then relay with
the new content back to your Android device via SMS and MMS text
message.

Sharp has added another Android smartphone to its range with the launch of the Sharp Aquos SH8298U 3D, which is a glasses free 3D Android device powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The Sharp Aquos SH8298U 3D features a 4.2 inch qHD glasses free 3D
display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, and processing is

Samsung recently announced the new Samsung Galaxy
note, which they describe as a cross between a smartphone and a tablet,
and now Samsung has released a new video which gives us a good look at
the Samsung Galaxy Note and some of its features.
The Samsung Galaxy Note comes with a 5.3 inch Super AMOLED display
with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, processing is provided by a
1.4GHz dual core processor and it also comes with 1GB of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy Note comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and it features two cameras, up front there is an 2 megapixel camera for video chat, on the back there is an 8 megapixel camera with an LED flash.

Yesterday we heard that Microsoft will show of its first Windows 8 tablet next week at its annual conference, and now it would appear that the first Windows 8 tablet we will see is from Samsung.
According to a recent report, Microsoft will show off a reference
model Windows 8 tablet next week, which has been manufactured by
Samsung, although there are no details as yet on the specifications we
might see.
Samsung already produces a number of popular Android tablets, which
have had problems recently due to the various court cases going on
between Apple and Samsung.
If Samsung were to start producing Windows 8 tablets as well as
Android based tablets it would be a good move for the company, as the
outcome of the various legal cases brought against Samsung by Apple for
their Android tablets is yet to be decided.

We have already seen a few videos of Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 8, and now Microsoft has released a new video which shows how fast Windows 8 will boot up.
As you will see in the video below, Microsoft has made some
significant improvements in how fast Windows 8 boots up compared to
their existing OS Windows 7.
That’s pretty fast compared to Windows 7, Windows 8 booted up in

Okay, maybe the title slanted this compelling bit of news a little
too far in the conspiracy nut corner. It couldn’t be
helped–a Washington D.C. based tech company has announced plans to build
a whole 35,000 resident simulation city in New Mexico bereft of actual
residents. Its purpose will be technology testing for various clients in
the corporate world, whether they be industrial, scientific, commercial
or all three combined. Is this suspicious? It should be. The project
would cost somewher ein the neighborhood of $200 million. There’s no
word on investors, but Pegasus Global Holdings Inc. might be footing the
bill on its own.
Who are Pegasus Global Holdings Inc.? A contractor apparently. A
little googling reveals their core business is in the ambiguos field of
"risk management” and "strategic solutions” with a special emphasis on

Google has today started rolling out their new encrypted search
feature to some chrome users, enabling them to have end-to-end
encrypted searches between their computer and Google search.
The encrypted search service has been available for some time in beta
by visiting a specific URL but its the first time Google
has started redirecting users directly to the new secure search
page. Using the new SSL search helps protect your search terms and your
search results pages from being intercepted by a third parties.
Google explains:
"running an experiment with some percentage of Chrome 14 users
where we send them to SSL search. The experience is meant to be
completely comparable feature-wise to non-SSL search. It is independent
of the Chrome 14 installation.”

Twitter CEO Dick Costolo revealed today that
the service currently has 100 million "active" users, and receives
around 400 million pageviews per month.
During a "state of the union” meeting this morning at Twitter’s San
Francisco headquarters, CEO Dick Costolo revealed, for the first time
ever, that the service currently has 100 million active users, and receives 400 million pageviews per month, up from about 250 million in January of this year.
In addition, Costolo said that half of Twitter’s users log on ever
day, but only 60 percent actually publish tweets. The remainder simply
read others’ tweets. Some never even login, even if they have an

Max Payne
3 was originally scheduled to be launched back in 2009 but after a
number of delays and missed launch dates in 2010 and 2011. Rockstar
Games has now announce that their Max Payne 3 game will finally be
arriving in March 2012.
The new game
will be the first in the Max Payne series to include multiplayer
features together with a new reward and levelling system and strategic
character load-out options.
The new Max Payne 3 game take place 8 years after the Max Payne 2
game, with Max now out of New York City and based in Sao Paulo, Brazil
working in private security. The main storyline will revolve around
Payne’s fall from grace as a vengeful cop to the addicted and broken man
that he has become.
