It looks like the first mobile carrier may be rolling out Windows Phone 7.5 mango tomorrow, according to a recent report the Vodafone group is scheduled to release the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update to its range of devices from tomorrow the 21st of September.
The news comes from German site Windows smartphones, who have said
that the update will roll out to certain devices tomorrow and is
expected to be available to all Windows smartphones on the network by
the end of the month.
This has yet to be confirmed by Vodafone or Microsoft, I guess we will find out some more details tomorrow.

Earlier today HTC officially announced the HTC Rhyme which is headed to Verizon Wireless
in the US, we also heard it would be headed to the UK, and now HTC has
confirmed that the HTC Rhyme will be available in the UK from the 17th
of October.
It looks like the HTC Rhyme will be available exclusively through mobile operator O2 here in the UK when it lands on the 17th of October and it will come with Android Gingerbread.
The HTC Rhyme features a single core 1GHz processor, plus a 3.7 inch
multi-touch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, there is also
a 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash and auto-focus.
Other specifications on the HTC Rhyme include HTC’s Sense 3.5 custom
user interface, plus WiFi and GPS, there are no details on pricing as
yet for the HTC Rhyme in the UK.

Dice has today announced that the new Battlefield 3 Beta testing will commence on September 29th for gamers on Xbox 360,
PS3 and PC. Battlefield 3 Beta testing will be set on the Paris:
Operation Metro map and will include two elite tactical units squaring
off in the Rush Mode within Battlefield 3.

We heard recently that the Motorola Defy+
would be available in the UK this month, and it looks like it will be
available from the 30th of September for £249 from mobile retailer
Clove.
The Motorola Defy+ features a 3.7 inch touchscreen display with a
resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, there is 2GB of built n storage, plus a
microSD card slot, processing is provided by a single core 1GHz
processor and it will come with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.
Other specifications include a five megapixel camera with auto-focus and an LED flash, it is designed to be a rugged Android device which is resistant to water and dust and also shock proof.

Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Samsung Epic 4G Touch went on sale last week, and the guys over at iFixit decided to take it apart to see what was inside the Epic 4G Touch.
It features a larger 4.52 inch display than the original Galaxy S II
and also comes with the same dual
core 1.2GHz processor, have a look at
the tear down photos below.
We were delighted to find that taking apart this allegedly Epic phone was
not too challenging. In fact,
the Epic 4G Touch appears to fare better
than its overseas cousin in terms of disassembly and repair.

Meizu has announced their latest Android smartphone, which is headed to China, the Meizu MX which will come with a quad core Cortex A9 processor and will also feature a 4.3 inch qHD display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels.
The Meizu MX will be China only, and it will be available in 16GB and
32GB versions, and comes with front and rear facing cameras, although
we couldn’t find out any specifications on the cameras.
The Meizu MX will retail for $625 for the 16GB version and $780 for
the 32GB version, and the 16GB version will come with a dual core processor whilst the 32GB version will feature the quad core processor.

The official word from Sony Ericsson was that a number of their Xperia devices would be getting the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update in October, and now it would appear that at least one Xperia device received the update ahead of schedule.
According to the guy over at the Xperia Blog, the Android 2.3.4 update for the Xperia Neo has already started rolling out and it brings a range of new features to the Xperia Neo.
Some of the new features included in the Android 2.3.4 update for the Xperia Neo include Google Chat, a new 3D panorama camera feature and much more.

We know that LG is working on their first HD smartphone, codenamed the LU6200,
which is expected to feature a HD display with a resolution of 1280 x
720 pixels, and now some actual photos of the device have been leaked.
The photos below are reported to be of the new LG Optimus LTE
(LU6200), and as we heard previously it will come with a 4.5 inch AH-IPS
LCD display with a 1280 x 720 resolution, plus a dual core 1.5GHz
Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon processor.
We still dont have any information on when the new LG Optimus LTE
will become available, as soon as we get some more information we will
let you guys know.

Researchers at the Technical University of Denmark have developed a
brain scanner which uses a smartphone, the portable EEG system is made
up of a low cost brain monitor which is placed on your head and a
smartphone app.
The video below shows the smartphone brain scanner in action, which
uses a low cost EEG headset with a wireless connection and a Nokia N900 smartphone.
We demonstrate a fully functional smartphone brain scanner
consisting of a low-cost 14-channel EEG headset with a wireless
connection to a smartphone (Nokia N900), enabling minimally invasive EEG
monitoring in naturalistic settings. The smartphone provides a
touch-based interface with real-time brain state decoding and 3D
reconstruction.

Yesterday we showed you a photo of what was reported to be the insides of a new iPhone 4S, which Apple is rumored to be launching as a cheaper iPhone alongside the new iPhone 5.
Now the guys over at Mac Rumors have got their hands on some more photos, which you can see below, and the second photo shows the iPhone 4S turned on whilst it is only partly assembled.

Yesterday we heard that Google were getting ready to launch their new NFC based payment system, Google Wallet, it is now official and as we reported previously Google wallet will be available with the Sprint Nexus S 4G.
The service works with a Citi Mastercard or a Google Prepaid Card,
the Google Prepaid Card can be funded using any existing credit card,
and Google has also announced that other companies including Visa,
Discover and American Express are looking to join the service in the
future.
We’ve been testing it extensively, and today we’re releasing the
first version of the app to Sprint. That means we’re beginning to roll
out Google Wallet to all Sprint Nexus S 4G phones through an
over-the-air update.

We have been hearing for a while that the new iPhone 5 will come with Apple’s new A5 processor
that can be found inside the iPad 2, we have also heard that Apple may
be launching a cheaper iPhone which is rumored to be called the iPhone
4S.
The photo below was spotted by the guys from Phone Arena
and it is apparently an photo of the insides of a new iPhone, although
there are no details on whether it is the iPhone 4S or the iPhone 5.
As you can see from the photo it shows an A5 processor, and it also
shows a new 1430 mAh battery which has slightly different specifications
to ones previously seen.

ViewSonic has added another Android smartphone to its range with the
launch of the ViewSonic V430, which comes with a 4.3 inch WVGA
multi-touch touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
The ViewSonic V430 is powered by a single core 1GHz Qualcomm
Snapdragon processor, and it comes with 512MB of RAM, Android comes in
the form of Android 2.2 Froyo.
Other specifications on the ViewSonic V430 include a VGA front facing
camera for video chat and a rear facing 5 megapixel camera for photos
ands video, there is also WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
There are no details as yet on when the ViewSonic V430 will go on sale and also now details on how much it will retail for.

We have been hearing that the new Pantech Breakout is headed to Verizon Wireless
over the last few weeks, and now it official the Pantech Breakout will
be available from Verizon on the 22nd of September in stores and online.
The Pantech Breakout comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it features a 4inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, processing is provided by a 1GHz single core processor.
Other specifications on the Pantech Breakout include a front facing
VGA camera for video chat an a rear facing 5 megapixel camera which can
record HD video in 720p.
It also comes with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and can be used as a mobile
hotspot for up to 10 WiFi enabled devices, and it feature Bluetooth 3.0
and comes with an 8GB microSD card.

It look like Batman will have his work cut out in the new Batman game reading for release. As Rocksteady has revealed yet another villain that will in the new Batman: Arkham City game joining the likes of Penguin, Solomon Grundy, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, The Riddler and Two Face naming just a few.
The latest villain to be unveiled is Deadshot who is equipped with a
mask with eyeholes and a targeting system over his right eye, together
with wrist-mounted guns and two sidearms, as well as a sniper rifle.
