The new Samsung Galaxy S II Android smartphone
comes with a dual core 1.2GHz processor, and both AT&T and Sprint’s
versions of the Galaxy S II come with the Exynos 1.2GHz processor which
is made by Samsung.
Now it would appear that the T-Mobile version of the Samsung galaxy S II will feature a different processor to the Exynos chip found in the AT&T and Sprint versions.
There are no details as yet on which processor the T-Mobile Samsung
Galaxy S II will use, but it could possibly be a dual core 1.2GHz
Qualcomm processor.

Ooyala has this week rolled out their new Ooyala Social feature to
its videos enabling publishers to easily sell or rent their premium
video on Facebook
The new HD-quality Social TV experience called Ooyala Social,
now brings video sharing and and viewing to the worlds largest social
networking site, Facebook. It allows Facebook users can pay with
Facebook credits, PayPal, a credit card or even their mobile phone
number, enabling them to rent subscribed or purchased outright video
content directly from Facebook.
Ooyala specialises in hosting videos for
large corporate and media clients, such as the Telegraph Media Group,
Martha Stewart Living, Omnimedia, Dell, General Mills, ESPN and
TechCrunch. The new service now makes it easy to provide Facebook users
with additional premium video a that can easily be purchased or rented.
When the World Trade Center was hit in the
9/11 attacks, NASA astronaut Frank Culpertson was able to snap a few
pictures from space.
These images were released some years back, but detail just how
visible the attacks were, even from space. They were taken by NASA
astronaut Frank Culbertson, who was onboard the International Space
Station when the World Trade Center was hit. He was the only American in
space on 9/11 and his experiences are detailed in a NASA blog post.
"I saw it out the window and we took video as the second tower was collapsing,” said Culpertson (via TG Daily).
"Didn’t know what was happening but I knew it was really bad because
there was a big cloud of debris covering Manhattan. That’s when it
really became painful because it was like seeing a wound in the side of
your country.”

First weld marks the start of construction on NASA's next manned spacecraft.
NASA
has begun construction on the next manned ship to go into space,
beginning with the first weld on the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Module
that will carry astronauts aboard the spacecraft.
Work began on the spacecraft in New Orleans on Friday, September 9,
and will continue with the addition of heat shields at NASA’s Kennedy
Space Center.
The spacecraft is the first manned ship to be constructed since the
Space Shuttle Endeavor left the factory in 1991. If all goes as planned,
it will also be the first manned spacecraft created by NASA to go into
orbit since the Space Shuttle Atlantis, which landed earlier this year
and marked the final flight of the Space Shuttle program.

We pretty much know that Sprint will be getting the new iPhone

Sprint has told its employees that they wont be able to take any
vacations between the 30th of September and the 15th of October due to a
‘major phone’ launch.

If you are a fan of the Crysis series of games you will be pleased to
know that the original 2007 Crysis game which was only launched on PC
will now be arriving on consoles from next month, in a
single player format.
Crytek are not just launching a port of the game
on PS3 and Xbox 360, they have completely remastered the game updating
its lighting and Nanosuit effects together with control improvements and
new features.

Netflix have released a new version
of Netflix for Android, and the latest version of Netflix for Android
now supports many more Android devices than before, which include an
Android device running Android 2.2 Froyo and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Netflix allows you to stream movies and TV shows to your Android device, although you will need a Netflix account to do so.

It looks like the new Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray that we showed you guys on the weekend is headed to another mobile network here in the UK, we already know that the Xperia Ray will be available with UK mobile operator Three and now Orange will also be selling it in both black and white versions.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray features a 3.3 inch multi-touch touchscreen display, and will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, plus a 1GHz processor.
Other features on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray features the same 8.1
megapixel Exmor R sensor that can be found in the Xperia Arc, it is
capable of recording HD video in 720p, and also features ggeo-tagging,
auto-focus and 16x digital zoom.
Photos have appeared online of a new BlackBerry
smartphone, which is reported to be the BlackBerry 9980, and as you can
see from the photos below it features an interesting design.
According to the guys over at Engadget, this new BlackBerry device will be a limited edition, and the
photos show a prototype of the device.

Samsung has announced on Twitter that all existing Samsung Wave smartphones will be upgraded to the latest version of Samsung’s Bada OS 2.0 before the end of the year.
And it looks like older Samsung Wave devices will also be getting the
upgrade, although Samsung has pointed out that the features may be
different on older devices depending on CPU, memory etc.
There are no details as yet exactly when Samsung will
roll out the various updates for their Wave range of smartphones as
soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.
We know that Microsoft is going to release the latest version of Windows Phone 7 shortly, and now it looks like we may have a possible date for the release of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.
According to a recent report, Microsoft may release Windows Phone 7.5
Mango this Thursday, the 15th of September, and it could be available
to existing Windows Phone 7 devices this week.
Next week is going to be a big week for Windows Phone. We have
been told by various sources that Mango will be dropping, and the final
tools will be dropping for developers. So that would be interesting and
something to look forward to.
As soon as we get some confirmation from Microsoft on when Windows Phone 7.5 Mango will be released we will let you guys know.
