Take your average touch screen, multiply it, then combine both
screens into one phone. The designers didn’t bother with the engineering
part, however, so their concept has to be taken on blind faith that
it’s awesome. According to the available concept illustrations, each
touchscreen are independent wireless devices that can be separated or
opened like a book. Wenhing Chou and Kok Keong Wong might be onto
something.
Blessed with so-called twin-splitting transparent displays, the Space
3 phone (or Spaceeee–get it?) has no specifications or features worth
mentioning. It’s a concept, remember?
This is the reason why design remains an appealing career. Designers
aren’t often put to task for their creation’s lack of engineering. The
results are sometimes startling, sometimes ludicrous to a hilarious
degree. (No names though.)
To bother trying to make the Space 3 phon

Apparently there’s this condition called Electromagnetic
Hypersensitivity (or EHS) that’s ruining a lot of lives. How? It makes
its victims so paranoid around cellular devices and WiFi
networks—believing proximity to such tech irradiates them—that they
decide to opt out of society. Thus, WiFi refugees have come into
existence. The almost too-unbelievable part is groups of them have been
flocking to a far away town for their protection.
The place is Green Bank, West Virginia where oddly enough humongous
radio telescopes ar ein operation. It has become a haven for EHS
sufferers and other WiFi refugees because it’s a certified radio free
zone. It’s also rustic, isolated, and quite lovely.
The BBC have a great piece on some of the inhabitants who claim they
have suffered from EHS and cellular devices. The victims claim headaches
and mental t

It’s only in the prototype stage, but the research group behind it are perfecting how to deliver sensation to video game players. They’ve started with the hands first and use vibrating devices to create the effect. Weird? Definitely.
The picture above? In case you didn’t recognize it that’s a scene
from Mass Effect 2 where Shepard and this other guy are frying robots.
It’s quite appropriate since the actual photogrpahs of this experimental
sensation tech are quite boring. Watch the video below to see what we mean.
And the video:
Just a quick summary: In the video, the lady is explaining the
research in brief. As shown, the actual contraption that gives the
vibrating signals is rather clunky. But it’s feasible. As to whether it
will ever hit the mainstream and shake up the gaming industry, who
knows?

For starters, it’s a strange place for kids to be enjoying their
solitude. But as a work of sculpture what Dietrech Wegner has created is
a marvel to behold. A study in balancing lightweight materials with
aesthetic sensibilities, the mushroom cloud tree house is an eccentric
take on a boyhood institution, not to mention a towering display of
nuclear might.
Further investigation has revealed that the artist’s message
was to pose a contradiction. We’re not going to delve into the
philosophical underpinnings here or whatever. Bottom line is it’s a nice
sculpture though we’d love to see a lengthier ladder up to its
entrance. The sculptor, of whom little is known,
has inadvertently stoked our enthusiasm for post-nuclear imaginings
along the lines of Fallout

We have already seen some Windows 8 running on the new Samsung Windows 8 Developer tablet, as well as running on an NVIDIA Kal-El tablet, and have even seen it running on an old Asus Eee PC netbook.
Now the guys over at Geek decided to load the Windows 8 Developer preview on to an EXOPC Slate, which you can see in the video below.
As you can see from the video Windows 8 seems to run quite a bit
slower on the EXOPC Slate, not bad though considering the EXOPC slates
specifications and the majority of the functions seem to work on the
slate.
