Sony has unveiled details of its new "Live with Walkman” Android phone running Gingerbread
2.3 as its operating system. The "Live with Walkman” smartphone has
been designed and created by Sony to provide a unique social
music experience to users. Equipped with deep Facebook integration which
allows you to access your Facebook pages via the phones picture
gallery, music player, phonebook and calendar, and include a Facebook
music recommendations feature.
Its also fitted with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display plus a 5 megapixel camera with a 8x zoom feature, auto focus and face detection, as well as GEO tagging and HD video recording (720p).
The new Android phone
is also packed with Sony’s xLOUD technology designed to enhance
the audio output of the internal speakers, and an "Infinite Button”
within the media player that provides new content about your favourite
artists, together with videos, artist information and a handy lyrics
search facility.
Sony explains:
"Consumers want smartphones to deliver a rich and social
entertainment experience. Rather than a one dimensional music
experience, they want instant and seamless access to new content,
combined with the ability to share and connect with their friends. The
Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman provides exactly this, in a powerful
package with great style.”
The new Sony "Live with Walkman” will be arriving in store in the
last Quarter of 2011 and will measure 56.5 x 106 x 14.2 mm weighing
around 115g. No details on price have yet been released.
